Carroll"s Meats & Deli

Based on other reviews, I must have hit this place on the worst possible day. 1) He was repairing some kind of machinery in the back with tools, who knows how clean that was. 2) He worked on something on his tablet, those are rarely clean. 3) Then he moved some meat around in the cooler, it looked raw. 4) After all this he made my sandwich without washing his hands or wearing gloves, cutting the meat with, and into, his unwashed hands. 5) When checking out I noticed he had bleeding cuts and scabs on his fingers that were just making my sandwich... That was the last straw. Of course he just spent 15 minutes making the sandwich with a bunch of meat, so I paid for it. But after I left I just threw it away. I was so grossed out I literally could not eat it and went somewhere else for food. I was super excited to try this place but my experience here was terrible. It was like putting my money straight into a trash can and it kind of ruined my day.

delicious first stop on our trip out west. definitely recommend if you’re looking for a generous portion of a delicious sandwich! small area to sit- but just right for a quick lunch stop.

Wow! Customer service was as good as it gets! He walked me out the door and shook my hand! The tri tip sandwich was incredible! Definitely coming back to try more sandwiches!

The owner is a Good Ol Boy from San Bruno he's funny, likes to talk makes a damn good sandwich ? prices are up where you'd expect to keep them in business also inflation there's also local hot ? sauce from a Hayward Co called Lucky Dog. I ordered the #5 (The Sleeper) fukin' great cooked the sandwich so cheese was melted to profection; turkey,bacon,Swiss cheese ?, fresh lettuce, tomato ?, onion, pickles, pepperoni, jalapeno, "Heated". If I happen to be in da area will get me another Sandwich ? from Carroll's Meats sandwiches & meats there's a lot of sandwiches including built ur own. Stop by try it and of course review it. The location doesn't have big signs San Bruno Ave East bound side of the street @ Mills Ave. also support local small businesses a real delicatessen is unfortunately a dieng market.

Parking: The area can get jammed packed but there's a small lot behind the business.

Amazing old school deli! My veggie sandwich may have been the best of my life. I didn’t eat the BBQ roast been but Rick liked it!!!!

You can tell there’s so much care and love put into this unassuming little shop! Mike, the owner, is so kind and makes you feel like you’ve been friends for ages. Would 100% come back, the sandwiches are so yummy!
