I went there with my two little ones and the two men ignored me and would not provide any service. We left to let my youngest go to the restroom, came back and there was another woman standing there, same thing, ignored her too. We went back stood there for a minute and the men still ignored all of us. Just rude, bad service. Never again, no wonder there was no line.

They gave me the wrong French fries, I ordered bacon and cheese, they gave me a regular one. And the woman was clearly pissed off when I ordered that I didn't understand what she was saying to me. 1 star for the attitude towards me.

Karly seems to have a bit of a problem understanding things. She doesn’t give clear answers to any questions and doesn’t check any of the products either. So, unfortunately, all she did was take our order and touch the screen—nothing more.

If you naturally look at the menu to place an order and like a product in a photo, the purpose of those advertisements is to make you like and want to eat them. However, if you decide to choose it, unfortunately, the person who prepared it doesn’t know what it is. There is a woman here who is unfortunately not willing to answer your questions. She constantly has earphones in, and as a result, you cannot establish healthy communication. Since there is no service quality under these circumstances, you could at least ensure that the staff you bring to work on Sundays is someone who is happy.

The employees have a very bad attitude, a man barely understands English and the woman is rude. They took my order wrong and did not solve the problem, they do not care.

Today, August 29. Even though it took me a while to get my order out. Don't complain to me. Until they gave me my sandwich and I ordered it with bacon I paid 2 dollars. And he only had a finger-sized piece. I complained and the lady began to misbehave until she screamed. And I told her in other places of charleys Philly steak they serve better. And this happened in San Bruno ca in Tanforan Mall.

I love the food, but the service is unacceptably horrible. One worker, who I presume to be a manager, is always stressed and yelling. They got mad at me for splitting the payment between a gift card and debit card. They angrily said “no order, no order, no order”. As much as I love the food, I will no longer be eating from here!

By definition, definitely a cheesesteak, but as someone who grew up in the Northeast (who by the way has much better cheesesteaks than those cheese whiz monstrosities in Philadelphia) this one’s just quite not up to snuff. it’s almost like they just checked a few pictures on the Internet and said OK let’s start a restaurant.

The sandwich I got would probably be a 1 on a scale of 10 anywhere on the East Coast. Out here on the West Coast it’s all right. I’ve had much better. Let’s dive in….

For starters the bread is really small. Just a little bit bigger than a hotdog roll and more of the size of a sausage roll than an actual hoagie sub roll, and these guys just seem to put it on raw bread, you always always toast the inside of a roll because it always add a little caramelization flavor and the crust hardens so that when mayonnaise and meat hit it, it stays firm and not soggy

Next disaster, the layers are built completely upside down. you always put mayonnaise on first so any fat or grease from the meat doesn’t soak through bread. The next step is big 4-6 hearty slices of Roma tomato, followed by some shredded lettuce. Then, after that you put on your heaping mound of meat with grilled onion and cheese, the cheese should always be provolone because it’s nice and thick, but still pungent, and it turns thick which keeps all your meat together and vegetables in place. When you eat it, everything is held together nicely because quickly after assembly it’s wrapped tightly like a burrito and everything firms up really nicely.

These guys put the cheese on after the mayonnaise and then the meat on top of the cheese, then they put on this massive mound of lettuce and then they take two little tiny thin tomato slices cut them in half and put them on the top as a decoration. Sad.

The next faux pas is the packaging. Instead of wrapping firmly like a burrito so that the steam and heat stays in these guys serve it open face and all the heat gets out and all the steam condenses all over the place in the packaging and bread are soggy. Also, because it’s open face and it’s built upside down with all the loose vegetables on top. Everything just explodes if you get it for carry out and it’s a massive mess. Also, because it’s built upside down every time you take a bite you have to replace half your lettuce and tomatoes because it falls off every time. If it were wrapped up properly and tightly the heat and the moisture can’t escape or move around so when you open it up after driving home, it’s still nice and super hot and then the steam can finally release without condensing and making everything soggy and wet. And when wrapped properly you can eat it without anything falling out because the meat and cheese and roll and the pressure from being wrapped nice and tightly keeps everything in place.

Same thing with the fries, they were soggy and wet because there’s no steam holes in the packaging. Instead of thinking properly and using a baggie, they have to be hipsters and use these cardboard boxes that look cool, but just aren’t functional. Also pretty disappointing that you handed a nice big box for fries and it’s only about halfway filled. Potatoes are cheap for a $.70 potato and then they don’t even wanna give the whole thing to you.

Oh, and all it was a pretty disappointing experience, especially when everything arrives completely discombobulated because of poor packaging and upside down layers.

I think marketing and tourism departments have the whole country thinking that you can only get a cheesesteak and Philadelphia but as a bit of history, they’re quite common up and down the whole north east coast. In Maryland and New Jersey probably more prevalent than they are in Pennsylvania. It’s a staple. And it’s a much more refined product outside of Philadelphia. Nice provolone cheese, fresh ingredients with veggies and it’s a little more blue collar with tons and tons of meat and cheese on a
