I’m so impressed by the food and the price. Everything is delicious and authentic. The pictures from 100 years ago of the old Canton/Guangzhou makes me feel nostalgic.
Authentic Hong Kong food by (likely) Hong Konger.

Friendly staff! Speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.
I eat there 2 times a week the prices are a little up there but you get a lot of food for the money but remember they ONLY take cash..know credit cards
We've been coming to this place for years especially after our flights arriving back to SFO. Fat wongs offers simple delicious Canto style dishes at reasonable costs. I always ordered the main staples such as beef chow fun, wonton noodles, braised beef shank and tofu, plus the crispy fried donuts. Comfort food at its best. A bonus is they accept credit cards now.
Go there for the food and do NOT expect good service. Staff has absolutely NO clue to the understanding of customer service, especially the Asian kid with black frame eye glasses.

Thank god for the change of ownership. Service is better, but the food is not that good now with a new cook.
The curry beef brisket was delicious. It was tender and delicious. The design of the restaurant is also so beautiful. Overall, the food was amazing and the design was beautiful.
Roasted duck portion was disappointing for price. Got much less than other’s photos from a year ago…
I went here on a rainy day and I got their beef brisket noodle soup. It hit the spot. It hit the spot for me so good I went there the next day and the hostess remembered me. Great food. Oh and I love the chicken wings
It used to be very good, but in my past two orders of rice noodles (米线和河粉),both dishes had some yellow stain on the noodles. I suspect that due to improper storage, the rice noodles are contaminated with Aflatoxin.

Came for dinner with my husband as we stayed one night near the airport. My husband had the roasted duck noodle soup and I had the shredded duck meat stirred fry noodles. Both came very fast and in a very generous portions. The roasted duck noodle soup was delicious but my shredded duck meat stirred fry noodles was just ok. There’s only little shredded duck meat and tasted quite bland. The price was ok and very friendly staff. Not bad for a quick meal.

Got take out barbecue pork over rice and marinated chicken over fried rice. Terrible. The chicken was the neck or backbone, all bones and cartilage under pale, flabby skin, amounted to about a tablespoonful of picked over edible meat. It looked like what you use to make broth and then throw away. The rice was bland but tasted ok, bok choy was tough and bitter., pork was flavorless. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I don’t know why the rating is so low, it’s because it’s in the san mateo cafeteria, it’s delicious!
