Tried a number of different things but the sisig was the highlight: very delicious!

The food was amazing. The service is really great as well. Everyone was so nice. We came with a big group of seven and we ordered a lot of food and they definitely took care of us. And of course we ended with Halo Halo and ice cream - my friends have never tried the Philipino food before - recommend by Philipina Wife the foodie

Ordered to go Dec 6, 2025, dinner. I had a craving for kaldereta. Somebody suggested their kaldereta is good. So, I ordered kare Kare & Sitaw Kalabasa & paid $60.00. We got home to eat our dinner & much to our disappointment, it wasn’t the kaldereta we expected & crave. There was no oxtail, beef tripe & few vegetables & worst no sitaw & the same with sitao & kalabasa. Where’s the sitao for both of them. I paid $60.00 for both & it wasn’t the dinner we wanted. Very dissatisfied.

The Fremont location has better service than this one. The previous time we were here, we weren't able to order the poodle (banana leaves set up) because it had to be set up ahead of time.

For this specific lunch, we had called ahead of time and were told that they were noting it down and will be ready when we arrived.

I arrived 10 minutes before our reservation but did not see any special set up and assumed the policy may have changed and they would begin set up after we ordered.

We found this was not the case as we informed the staff of our reservation specifications, they seemed to not know that we asked for kamayan set up over the phone.

W didn't mind the wait as they were able to set up quickly afterwards. Service seemed strained and lacking the friendliness and warmth from the other location.

Food here is still delightful and filling but will be frequenting the Fremont location based on these experiences.

Filipino cuisine was not on the top of my list of go-to cuisine because it tends to be one-dimensional, especially on the sweet side, even for the savory dish. Isla changed my mind. The food here is diverse, flavorful, fresh, and not sweet. The ground pork dish deserved to be called the must. The black rice with squid is amazing. The pumpkin stirred fry required some adventurous take on various flavors including bitterness from bitter melon but I like it a lot! All of these come with big portion and reasonable price. I definitely will come back for more.

My first night in San Bruno and first time dining at a Filipino restaurant was made special by Isla’s delicious food and Jun’s spectacular service.

I wandered in by myself and quickly realized the huge portions called for bigger parties, but Jun came to the rescue by allowing me to order the silog rice plate which isn’t served after 2pm on the weekends. 100% recommend for the great food and service.

Hands down one of the best spots in town! The food at Isla Restaurant is consistently delicious with huge portions that never disappoint. The staff are fast, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Huge shoutout to Jun — he’s incredibly kind and attentive. Even my non-Filipino friends are hooked on this place! If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out — you won’t regret it.

Food is always good here. Sometimes soup can be a bit salty so you can request less salt when ordering. Every Filipino pallet's dream. The bilao's are a bomb. Only dessert we always enjoy is the halo halo and saging con yelo. Good place for big parties.

Kampangpangan style Filipino restaurant and great for large parties and groups. Came here on a late afternoon on a Saturday and we all got silogs- I got longsilog, my friends got bangus and Sisig. If it’s someone’s birthday you get a choice of a free pancit or dessert! My friend chose pancit palabok and we got lumpia and lechon kawali all to share. They have unlimited rice and the silogs come with a fountain drink. Service was very quick and all of the workers for friendly and were checking in on our table.
