My husband and another couple went for dinner to JC Bruno, this was my third time visit and just as the first time food was fantastic. I ordered the salmon the skin had very tasty and crunchy, normally, I don’t eat the skin, but when I go there I do, the salmon was very moist, just perfect, even though the skin was crunchy, the mashed potatoes were very tasty and different than any I have had not super thick, it came with a tasty sautéed spinach, my husband had the a cup of lobster basque and cioppino, it was the best he has had, one of my friends had Lomo saltado, I tasted it and the meat was very tender, for dessert we had pane cotta and bread pudding, both were excellent. The menu is diverse they may have a French dish, Italian, and Peruvian.

What I appreciate the most is that the food is consistently very good every time I go there that is why I don’t mind to drive from San Mateo.

We already booked a reservation with the owner for group of 10 of us for December to celebrate the holidays. It is a big place and I think you will be able to find a table without reservations, but since we are a large group I wanted to make sure that I am covered for December 4th

Incredible food, we had the rack of lamb, which was the best I've ever had. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Truly great dining experience.

We were looking for somewhere to have dinner near our airport hotel and found this absolute gem only about 10 minutes away. Delicious food, lovely ambiance, and impeccable service. Enjoyed it so much we came back again the next night.

I'd give this 6 stars if I could! Yes, it's a little on the pricy side, but more than worth it. I've been in the US for a month, and this was the best food I've had. Simple, yet absolutely delicious. The starters are also quite big, so we had a starter each and shared the cioppino. The staff is also very kind and effecient. If I'm ever in this area again, I'm definitely coming back. Gonna remember this for years to come.

JC Bruno is more than a restaurant, it’s a relationship. It’s now my #1 spot, and I’d recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone looking for great food, genuine people, and unforgettable service! If you’re looking for a go-to restaurant that feels like your favorite local spot and your second home, JC Bruno is it. I truly mean when I say that Marcela, the owner, is the soul of this place, and she has completely redefined what true hospitality means in today’s world. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted not just by a friendly staff, but by people who genuinely care. Marcela herself is always around, and what makes her so special is that she doesn’t act like a distant owner, but rather you feel like you’re planning something with a longtime friend. She’ll chat with you, laugh with you, and most importantly, she stands by you to help plan your perfect experience, whether you’re organizing a small dinner or a full-blown celebration. What blew me away most was how flexible she is. JC Bruno’s menu is already this amazing fusion of European, Mediterranean, and other international flavors, but if there’s something special you want that’s not listed? Just ask. Marcela will go out of her way to make it happen. That kind of flexibility is almost unheard of these days. I’ve worked with many restaurants for events and special dinners, but working with Marcela is different because she treats you like a partner, not a transaction. She’ll talk through your vision, offer smart suggestions, and help you figure out the best possible setup for your group. The way she collaborates with you makes it fun and stress-free. It’s rare to find a place where the owner is this involved and down-to-earth.

It was an interesting experience.
At first, I found this restaurant on Google Maps .
And I liked what I saw ...
When we came, we got the table right away - great!!!
After 20 minutes waiting without any menu in our hands, I made a decision to go to the lady who sent us to the table and asked her if someone could serve us and her answer was - Oh, were are you sitting ?
Really?????
Finally, we got a fine dinner and even a complimentary appetizer ...
But the atmosphere of our visit wasn't the same as we just came in ....

I came to this cosy corner with a friend of mine, and was the best dinning experience. My Filet Mignon was great! and his Arroz with marisco, seemed also. Wi'll go back.

This restaurant was a fantastic find for a Saturday dinner with friends. The interior is cozy and classy. The food was exceptional. The mussels with chorizo, the pasta special, the salads were delightful. The service was friendly and knowledgeable.

After a long week my husband & I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. He picked this place because he knows I like wine. However the minute I enter the restaurant I was not aware the door was not a self closing door the server at the moment yelled at me to close the door. I apologize as I continue to go close it when another gentleman offer to do so since he was closer. After this the atmosphere was awkward as she was also our waitress. I worked at restaurants before & I never yelled at my customers I would just do it myself. Definitely disappointing as the food looked really good to try.
