Hello...I had the opportunity to stay overnight in San Bruno before heading to Austin, TX. My sister and I decided to walk to Roma Deli for our dinner. I probably was a pain to the gentleman taking my order...sorry...just very picky about my sandwiches. People...without a doubt, this sandwich was the BEST sandwich I have ever had in my life. All I can say is...YOU MUST GO THERE!!!!! SO worth it...thank you!!!!!

What in the actual other worldly wow is this?? After being sorely disappointed trying a burrito at some forgettable Mexican place in San Mateo last night, I felt I should stick with sandwiches, and I am so happy I decided to come here!I ordered the large Salsalito Turkey Supreme which comes with jalapeño pepper jack and this Cajun Aoli sauce... I also got it on toasted Soft French loaf... YESSSSThe veg is chilled and fresh and the meat cheese and bread toasty and warm, the contrast with warm and cold is nit something sandwich shops really ever can quite figure out. They got it here! The lettuce is shredded which I prefer, tomatoes are nice BIG fat slices.. I was thinking of asking them to swap the jalapeño pepper jack with Swiss, but I am so glad I didn't tell them to do that. Keep it just as they make it, it's so worth it *****For the large sandwich, which they walked out to me, when they placed it in front of me my first reaction was to say "oh... that is indeed a very large sandwich, thats great!" and she just laughedThe LG sandwich a bag of chips (normal size not small) and 2 canned sodas it was $23! That is way acceptable.. I paid $25 for that garbage burrito I ended throwing half away of last night.Def reccomend*

I don't normally find things review worthy but holy hell this place is a gem. Today I was feeling hungrier than normal probably from the dubious amounts of whiskey I had over the weekend. I phoned in and ordered a large meatball, with provolone, onion and garlic spread on a soft toasted roll. It was ready in about 10-15 mins. Upon grabbing my order and a bag of chips and potato salad they let me know they put extra napkins in. While messy, that was legit the best meatball sandwich I've ever consumed. I'm Italian on my good side and I've had quite a few from many places over the years but once I pulled that wrapper I knew I was in for a treat The staff is super friendly as always and always calls me by my name, everything on their menu is great but holy hell, give the meatball a try. Excuse me while I go confess my sins.

Roma is mandatory stop for me, whenever I'm in the area, which is pretty frequently. I go to a casino in the area and work up a pretty good appetite at the tables. When I'm done gambling, I go straight to Roma's EVERY time. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area but Roma's is my go to. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. In fact, staff isn't the right word, family is more like it, because whether you're a first timer or a regular they treat you like a VIP. The service is ALWAYS prompt and timely. I think that I've tried every sandwich there and they are all super delicious so you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My personal favorite is the turkey deluxe, which is turkey, jack cheese, avocado, and bacon along with all of the regular fixings. Bottom line is that Roma Deli is second to NONE!!!

Roma deli is good but I feel like it's not what it used to be. I love the nostalgic interior but it could seriously use some freshening up. The menu seems more limited than what I remembered and they were all out of Dutch crunch by 2pm on a Sunday. I split the turkey supreme with my mom and it was pretty good. My dad had the hot pastrami and enjoyed it. I'm not sure if the potato salad is made in house but that was the star for me. Stars docked because we walked in and order it person at what we assumed would be after the lunch rush and it took 35 minutes for just 2 sandwiches.

Come here weekly and the workers are always very friendly. Sandwiches are delicious and always consistent! Hot pastrami, Sausalito supreme and BLTs are some of my favorites. And of course it's a must to get the Dutch crunch bread!! They also have a great variety of chips and drinks to choose from. Roma is an excellent local sandwich shop to check out when you have your next craving for a sandwich!!

Roma Deli is in the downtown part of San Bruno. Small family owned deli with nice folks. Order at the counter and they'll prepare the order. I ordered the roast beef club on sourdough. Once received, quickly noticed it is a huge sandwhich. But it was a bit bland since only mayo is put on the sandwhich. I guess next time, can ask for mustard, etc. Compared to Little Lucca's the quality and freshness is there. Price is about the same. But the overall taste goes to Little Lucca's. Street parking only

My sister and brother in law frequently order from them. They are a nice family. We called in our order for pick up. It's located on San Bruno Ave around many other restaurants. Street parking is hard unless you're lucky. We usually go in pairs, one drives and the other hops out lol Food was ready upon pick up. We ordered the hot pastrami and the hot turkey both with pickles and their garlic spread. Yum! We love their garlic spread! We have also tried their meatball sandwich and that's equally delicious too. Their meatballs are soft and they offer plenty of sauce. It's one of our favorite places for deli sandwiches. Definitely worth it!

For me, San Mateo has always been a town I drive past while on my way to some other place. My pal Rossmoore Straightshaft had just moved his production facility from Santa Monica to San Mateo to be closer to his customer base. He promises me the best Italian sandwiches in the country from the Roma Deli for my help setting up his Plattromitor machine so he can get busy making those Wallydoodles and Wacknutters.I'll tell you....nothing beats a good old fashioned Italian submarine sandwich, and the Rona Deli makes about the best out there. ☆☆☆☆☆

Great skills in Sandwich making, they are super fast and you don't have to wait long, chip selection is great and some unique chips too like those Festive Corn cheetohs, and has a nice home style atmosphere. Great Hot Pastrami sandwiches. I would recommend a Large one and Dutch crunch, best combo ?
