I really wanted to love this place. Hip Hop and BBQ are 2 of my favorite things. I wish that the sauces came on the side and not on the meats. I want to pick if my meat is sauced or not. The sauces were too sweet. I would have liked to eat more of the brisket without the sauce. The sides were a bit too rich.
Maybe I am being unfair because I compare all BBQ to Brother In Laws BBQ. I think the meat shines on its own without the sauce.

Hotel called ahead for me as it was late. Chef Mae hooked me up with a hearty portion of ribs, potato salad and rolls. I prefer more of a dry rub as these ribs were saucy but still tasty.
