Had the pleasure of dining at Esnaf on two occasions and both were fabulous experiences, from the food to the staff. We will be going back again soon! The only thing is I wish they would do the tomato based Ezme 😊.
Probably the best Turkish restaurant in the Bay Area. Hidden away on San Carlos Avenue in San Carlos, the food is outstanding and the service is awesome. Even the deserts were incredible. With so many Mediterranean restaurants around here it's hard to stand out, but this place rises above the rest.

The Köfte is particularly great, and the breakfast is a favorite, served fresh with great variety in a serpme kahvaltı style. The garlic yogurt dip is extremely delicious, and the pita is soft, fluffy, and light. The octopus appetizer is a favorite, and the traditional lentil soup is tasty. Deserts are incredible. The prices are on the higher end for some dishes, but so is the quality. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing dinner, and the overall experience feels very authentic. With so many Mediterranean restaurants around, this place rises above the rest. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality Turkish food and great hospitality.
