I've always enjoyed dining at Spasso, and the food was as good as ever during my recent lunch visit with a friend. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, and we appreciated the quiet setting. Service was slower than usual — it took some time for our order to be taken and later for our coffee drinks to arrive — even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. However, the staff was courteous, and I know this isn't typical of Spasso's usual standard. I look forward to returning and experiencing the warm, attentive service that has always complemented their excellent food.

“Out of town” but this is where I would go for food whether with the boyz or wifey. Place is epic. Might go down as one of the most important dinners of 2025.

Person diving a small Spasso van ran a red light turning on el camino and could have t-boned me if I didn't hit my brakes. Spasso driver, please slow down and drive safer around San Carlos.

I had the Veal Piccata with mashed potato and spinach. It was good but nothing special. My companion had Club sandwich which again was good but nothing special. I had not been for a while and it will probably be a while till I go again.

I'm disappointed to say the food quality was below average. The dishes were oversauced, and the seafood wasn't cleaned properly. The service was great, but we come for the food. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. (On a positive note, the complementary bread was excellent!)

Spasso Ristorante is such a charming spot with authentic vibes and pasta dishes that are beautifully portioned—dainty yet flavorful and satisfying. We started with the prime rib spring rolls, which were spot-on in texture and flavor—light enough to still enjoy the rest of the meal.

For mains, I had the veal cannelloni, which was tender and superb, while the penne with chicken came highly recommended and did not disappoint—rich, balanced, and absolutely delicious.

We finished with the bread pudding and chocolate lava cake. Both were good but didn’t quite hit the same elevated level as the mains. My Spasso espresso martini was a bit too sweet for my taste, but the staff graciously swapped it for a glass of Justin wine, which was perfect.

We left with happy bellies and leftovers to enjoy later. Spasso is definitely a must-visit for authentic Italian and warm, welcoming service.

Food was excellent (Arancini, Burrata, Chicken Bolognese, Veal Cannelloni and Grand Mainers Crème Brûlée). Wait staff was very attentive. It was noisy (expected). They did not notice that the Open Table reservation specified a birthday.

Delicious food, very reasonably priced, delicious cocktails, yummy bread. Now my NEW favorite Italian restaurant since Carpaccio closed in Menlo Park!

Our go-to restaurant. Have never been disappointed. Very busy evening with in-house diners and takeout, which did not effect our food, drink or service in a negative fashion. Staff worked very well together. Minestrone Soup, Walnut Crusted Pork Chop and Chicken Wrapped in Pancetta were absolutely wonderful. Have been dining at Spasso's for a number of years now with pure delight!

Free wine corkage on Sunday and Monday nights. An excellent draw for potential customers who already have fine wines to enjoy but don't want to add corkage fees to the bill.

My friend and I both got food poisoning after eating here. I had the black pepper fettuccini and my friend had the sausage rigatoni. We won’t be coming back here for a long time.
