The atmosphere, service and wines were amazing I wish I were able to say my Mediterranean pasta was good but wasn’t; I believe they use cooked shrimp in the dish and if not mistaken it said “prawns” which is why I had ordered it in the first place, the shrimp was absolutely overcooked and trust me I know my shrimp since my sis uses cooked shrimp I know the awful texture and would never expect it to be served in this amazing restaurant.I absolutely will go back and hopefully they will use fresh shrimp and try the dish again.

We had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate a birthday. The service was great; it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation and the food was good but not outstanding. And for the price, that was OK. We would certainly go back.

I love their special lunch menu with small portions of a 3 course meal. Their minestrone soup and salad are both really good. I had the salmon as I love it and their small portion was plenty for me. The service was incredibly quick and smooth and warm.

Our go to place in San Carlos. Good variety of food. Tasty specials and the wine list has something for everyone. I love that we never feel pressured to leave so they can “flip the table”, no matter how busy they are. Service is always excellent with no detail ignored. Highly recommend.

I was at The Cask Thursday night for dinner. I ordered the Green Apple flatbread. It was absolutely delicious. The prosciutto was cut thin as it should be, the Brie wax perfectly melted and the fig jam was well placed. It was so good I returned Friday night for the same meal. This time the prosciutto was so thick I could not bite through it without the entire piece of flatbread fell apart. The fig jam was non-existent. I sent it back, and the waitress said they made it over, but it was the exact same entree. I shouldn't have sent it back because then I was leery of eating it. Not a great experience the second night.
Cask is our go to restaurant in San Carlos. It is great for lunch or dinner. The menu offers many different options for those who want a snack or a full meal. The mushroom flatbread appetizer is yummy and enough to share. The warm Napa cabbage salad is rich and delicious. The French dip is a favorite. Whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed. They have an extensive wine list and also have craft beer. Cask is a great choice.

We've been here many times over the years and we went for an early dinner today. Just in case you didn't know, they have more than good wines, the food is really good! We had the Branzino with vegetables and potatoes and the half chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Both dishes were delicious and the half chicken was big, juicy and moist.

Perfect place for our post Filoli ladies lunch. Delicious food - particularly enjoyed the flatbreads, butternut squash soup, and grouper special. The service was excellent- attentive but let us linger. And generous pours for the wine flights too. Very enjoyable dining experience!
