They don’t respect dashers time. Wasting time of delivery drivers. They press “order is ready”, but this is a trick. The elder woman told me, they do always like this. No respect to people. I don’t recommend to buy from businesses who DONT respect other people’s time.

Let's start with a good. The service is friendly and the food was brought to us fairly quickly. The coffee and lattes taste great. Cafe Calypso is located inside the main entrance to the old San Clemente Hotel which has a wonderful ambiance. The inside and outside seating are outstanding. It's a beautiful location. Now on to the not so good... I ordered a few different dishes and didn't finish any of them. The breakfast croissant sandwiches were microwaved and gross. The prices are way too high for microwave food. The croissant lost all crisp flake freshness. The bacon was soft, wiggly and really low quality. The amount of provolone was way too much for the sandwich. The tomatoes were squishy. The amount of fruit that came as a side dish was way less what I was expecting for the price, even though it was fresh and tasted good. I tried the waffle too and didn't taste good. It was spongy and gluey.I recommend sticking to the coffees and pastries and staying away from the food.It would be awesome to see the menu reduced and simplified down to an easy list of fresh dishes that do not require a microwave.

Little hard to find but was a nice place to eat. Excellent ambience eating on the patio. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area.

We went in for breakfast. Menu is limited, some 'steamed scrambled egg' options and bakery items. Both muffins and scones were stale. $4,95 ea. Coffee was OK.

I went with my family for breakfast and we ordered (bagel, side of bacon and eggs, and a cold sandwich) and waited an hour and the lady at the front kept saying “it’s coming it’s coming” and hushed my dad and I and we watched others get full meals and served after us then leaving. Finally I went up and asked for my money back and she was hesitant to give it back and said it’s my fault it’s taking so long because I had “hot items” (my side of scrambled eggs and bacon” and was so absolutely rude we got our money back and left. The main lady running it is terrible and so rude. I will never be going back there and would never recommend this place to anyone. If you want to be forgotten about and made to believe it’s your fault why it takes an hour to get a side of scrambled eggs. It’s not worth it.

Ordered a iced latte at the counter. They did not use the espresso machine to make it. The waitress went to the fridge, poured what looked like old coffee from the fridge in a cup and topped it with milk. It tasted like old coffee. Absolutely terrible.

This is a breakfast and lunch place in a historic setting at the base of an old hotel. This gem served us a terrific lunch consisting of a tuna wrap, veggie wrap, and a Greek wrap. All were superb and satisfying. A small bag of Lay's potato chips came with each wrap. They want you to check the menu before you enter because the area to place your order is quite small. It has the best outdoor dining in this area of San Clemente, but the outdoor seating is very limited. Great food and friendly service.

Unfortunately! We didn't have good experience when we was there last Sunday. We were big group of friends less 30 friends had lunch there. This will be our last time to eating there. They are not vegan friendly and staff not friendly also! Woman? Don't know she or he is owner or just a staff. She was ordering foods for us in the front desk was not friendly at all, and had attitude and not caring at all. she was really pushing and rushing to wanted done with ordering foods. my husband and I we were asked if we can add mushrooms to the veggie burrito and not have tomatoes and Bill papers? She was not wanting helping us at all, we still not finished and still wanted to thinking what we can ordering , she left us to take next client. She was kind rude! One of our friend's dish found a hair in it, she asked the same rude woman if she can change the same but new dish with out a hair in it? She was not happy to helping our friend and no apologize for have a hair in the food, and had bad attitude. We finished food and still there not leave yet, but, their staff started to clean up the tables and sweeping the floor, was little dusty. Feels was like they wanted us to leave! We were eating inside I was bit couple times by mosquitoes.Their foods just okay. Don't like have good quality and yummy foods. Really disappointed!

Ok, where to start. The patio is a horrific mix of trashy plastic flamingos, lush fountains and god awful French opera. And the prices are almost as ridiculous as the music. For example the 7$ OJ that tastes like chunky tang and the sides of meat that are the price of a whole meal. But hey, the food is probably good right? NOPE. Bland on bland with some bland bland. No flavor, eggs are like wet styrofoam, the bagel like an old sock. Please save your time and money and go anywhere else.

It's a good place to grab any style of coffee and they have different breakfast options that were tasty, eating out on the patio was enjoyable, staff was friendly

Everything was way overpriced, $7 for what tasted like watered down orange pulp. The food was bland beyond human perception, the eggs felt and tasted like wet packing peanuts. The outside patio was a mixture of annoying and horrible music with plastic flamingos stuck to every piece of vegetation. It was so bad that it made me write this review.

My Girl and I came in and split a Hot Italian Sandwich. It was excellent. Bread was perfect. We also enjoyed the valentine's day decorations. We look forward to going back.
