This is a breakfast and lunch place in a historic setting at the base of an old hotel. This gem served us a terrific lunch consisting of a tuna wrap, veggie wrap, and a Greek wrap. All were superb and satisfying. A small bag of Lay's potato chips came with each wrap. They want you to check the menu before you enter because the area to place your order is quite small. It has the best outdoor dining in this area of San Clemente, but the outdoor seating is very limited. Great...

We were in San Clemente overnight to break the drive from LA to San Diego and spent the day after exploring the coastal path and the Pier. When it came to lunch time we were looking at the main shopping street and came across Cafe Calypso. What a find! Food was awesome and the place itself is just gorgeous. Our thanks to the chap that chased us up the street with our forgotten shopping :-)

The quiche was excellent and so was the 2 wraps we tried. Fresh food at good prices. Staff is friendly. Having to order then go sit down and never get checked on isn't ideal because it gives you a feel of a cheap fast food place when the food is much better than fast food.
