Was a bit disappointed with my experience quite honestly. Awesome location and setting, waiter was very professional, but several issues are causing me to write a mediocre review. Upon arrival, hostess was texting and I had wait for her to finish before she even recognized me. Rude. Butter with bread service was offered as hard aluminum wrapped diner style versus a small serving dish with a soft spread. Lastly, found it extremely annoying they charged me $1 for cajon seasoning on my fish. No mention of the up-charge when asked , only if I’d like it cajon or not. Charging a silly $1.00 on a $75 dinner for one is nuts. Doubt I’d go back. Can’t recommend it

We stopped in San Clemente on our way to San Diego and happened to find this restaurant had good reviews on google maps so we decided to try it out. Excellent location, staff was very polite, we thought it would be too cold to sit outside but the host advised us that there were heaters at every table so we decided to sit outside, we would have missed out on the beautiful views if it wasn’t for the host. Our waiter was excellent, food was delicious, alcoholic drinks were great.

This restaurant is on the San Clemente Pier so we were not expecting the food to be anything special as I expect most people come primarily for the view, but it was outstanding! We sat out on the lovely deck. I had a salmon special that was perfectly grilled with "skinny" fries that were right out of the fryer and delicious. Even the tartar sauce served on a red cabbage leaf was wonderful. My husband had Seafood Fettucini which he loved. They serve small rounds of warm sour dough bread to start. I had a lovely flute of house prosecco that was amazingly good. For dessert we ordered the magnificent Mudd Pie (you have to see it to believe it!) which was gigantic and the 2 of us tried hard but we could not finish it. Service was also outstanding & we were impressed by the professional manner & appearance of the waitstaff.

We sat outside at the north restaurant and got in quickly with a party of 10. The mussels were good. But 4/5 and all the adults were served and I think they forgot my youngest daughter because her burger & fries came out after. $15 for 2 small crab cakes is a little absurd even for beach prices. The mussels were hot, but they weren't properly cleaned and still bearded. The bread on my mom's sandwich was hard and inedible. The Huz and I both got fish tacos & they were super dry. Expected more our of the food.

Go for the happy hour and you will bet be disappointed. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and the oysters and albacore tuna were a $1.00 each during happy hour. You cannot beat the view of the surfers and the beautiful beaches of San Clemente.

No reservations, name in and wait for phone call. Worth every second of the wait. Wide selection of mostly varieties of fish served simply broiled. Absolutely perfectly prepared, firm but still plenty moist. If you are early enough they have a sunset special for a price less than most of the mains later and they through in either a bowl of soup or a salad. It being chilly the night we were there we went for soup. Hearty tomato based chowder or a creamy clam chowder. AND a loaf of excellent sourdough bread. We've lived most of our lives in a fishing village on Cape Cod and this place rivaled what we could find there.

We love dinner on the pier. The restaurant is casual (as you would expect). The food was really good as was the service. The view was fantastic, especially during the sunset. My wife had the Dungeness crab and loved it. I had the Sea Bass and it was fresh and perfectly grilled. For dessert we ordered a carrot cake "to go" so we could enjoy it later in the evening. When in San Clemente, you must visit the pier and eat at this restaurant!

Excellent seafood, service and pier views! My wife enjoyed the Grilled Halibut and I loved their Halibut & Chips! It was lightly breaded and cooked just right - it was crisp and flaky not oily and slimy... we shared a (huge) Mud Pie for dessert. Amazing!

We always come here every year we return to our timeshare. The location on the ocean with a view that’s impossible to beat. Service is always prompt, attentive and engaging. The fish always seems fresh and well prepared. Prices are fair, again given the location. The Sunset dinner(before 6pm M-F) is quite a bargain. We got the Sunset fresh catch of the day which was Ono from Hawaii and it was delicious. Clam chowder or salad, fresh vegetables and a starch and dessert for $21. Not sure how they make money.

If you can put up with the wait during the high season, you will not be disappointed . SOme of the best quality/ exceptional sea food you will find in this part of Southern Orange county. Servers are all polite with a good attitude and smile. Chris the manager makes sure everything is running properly. Located right o the San Clemente pier. Daily selection of fresh seafood and shell fish. About 15 different fresh selections. Vegetables, rice pilaf , potatoes and sour dough loaf. Indulge a little. This is not five star table cloth eating but it is at least 4.5 stars freshly prepared sea food to your liking. Can’t go wrong and worth the wait if you are. Patient enough. good eats . Dishes vary from $18 to $35 per plate. Enjoy and safe travels.

We always go to the one on the right off the Pier (the bar restaurant). With Covid-19, you wait in line outside and they seat you when a table is available. Stunning views for sunset and surf watching. I always get the mussels or clams bucket. My husband love the happy hour meal. 4-7pm... $5 ribs, or bean and rice... and our son loves their fish’n chips. The food is good (nothing special). Its just a very casual and friendly place that has been here since a long time and provides a great service. A people’s favorite to grab a cocktail and watch the sunset.

Seafood is great but the Happy Hour the the best! I lived in San Clemente for ten years and although happy-hour is very competitive in beach communities...Fisherman's a So-Cal sister to Seattle's very famous, Pike Place Market...has been voted locally by Orange County as the BEST Sunset Happy Hour. Although open 4-7, I go around 6 so I can eat the daily meal $5 (oysters $1), enjoy a drink specials but more importantly view the amazing sunset, while sitting over the water for only a $10 bill!
