I just called their phone number and received a recording. Are they still open?

Had a wonderful time celebrating my moms birthday here! They serve you so much food and it's so good, plus the chefs put on a great show! Highly recommend the filet steak which was tender and delicious. They also have great priced sake and beer, and it's a really fun atmosphere. Only challenge we had was the reservations which there was some confusion over, but they made our larger party work which we really appreciate! Plenty of parking out front! Perfect for a larger group of 6-8 to fill one full grill.

THEY'RE FINALLY OPEN AGAIN! Been coming here since the '90's. Only open for temporary hours like lunch for now until they finish remodeling, etc. and then they'll be open for dinner. Very excited (and the good is still excellent).

Today we were their first customer for their first day being open from their remodeling they have been doing. It was absolutely delicious! Just as good as their other location! They are going to soon have their patio remodeled so you can enjoy the ocean view and sit outside. Looking forward to it! Family owned and they are very sweet.

Woooooowww unbelievable!!! Don't know what to say!!! Sitting at dinner with my 11 year old daughter and the chef pulls out a puppet with a penis!!! I should have killed the dude but one of us has to be an adult.Last time I'm coming here and the manager refused to apologize. All while there was still crumbs from last diner on the hot table where he cooked. Just nasty.

I have always loved this place but this last time that I went for my bday they went above and beyond. The Chef Robert was so awesome. He was fun, friendly, and very entertaining. He was also an excellent chef. The food here is delicious and the atmosphere is so fun. The service was excellent and the servers where very attentive. They definitely made sure that I had my glass filled and my needs met. They truly made my bday a wonderful bday! Thanks so much. And thanks Robert!

Came here at about closing with a huge group and they were nice enough to take us in. They have a full bar here with inexpensive drinks, awesome, food was mediocre, funky smell in the air, but LOUIE YOU ARE THE MAN! Everything from his witty humor to his birthday serenation, golden.

This review is for teppanyaki only.. Took my kids here for dinner on Saturday night. I think this place is pretty good for being in San Clemente. Service was decent and the food was ok too. If you want teppanyaki in San Clemente, this is the place to go. Reservation recommended on weekends!

The food was extremely amazing and so was the customer service. I would love to come back here.

As a young child, I went to one of these restaurants and was amazed by the cooking and the show the chef put on. Years later, I still enjoy the enthusiasm the chefs bring to the table. The location is great. You can go walking along the beach right before your meal. However the building needs updating. I definitely will return in the near future.

On a muggy Friday night, at the first weekend for the end of school year, there was a boatload of people packing restaurants from Dana Point to San Clemente. Most of the parking lots in Dana Point harbor were full, so we headed south searching for a no-hassle place to eat dinner. On the way to Sonny's or even La Siesta, we spied Ichibiri as a familiar landmark, but a restaurant we've never tried. When we found parking nearby at the beach lot (with free parking after 6:00 p.m.), Ichibiri won the Friday restaurant lottery. Walking in at about 6:30 p.m., we were surprised to see there was plenty of tables available. We were promptly seated and waited upon (by a very authentic mature waitress who seemed to be ESL). We ordered two sets of different sushi rolls and a chicken katsu meal. The food came out fast. The sushi rolls were good. The chicken katsu was very good. With a 22 ounce Kirin Light, the bill came to $44, which I suppose is fair, but not a value. Reading through the reviews of other Yelpers, I see the ratings for Ichibiri are all over the place. If I had to be uber critical, I'd say the restaurant provides good food and service, but when considering the overall dining experience and venue (which is somewhat dated inside and seems fancier from the outside than it actually is), it seems to be a little overpriced. Just the same, especially from a logistical point cruising along the coast at sunset, its the kind of place I'd certainly go to again.
