Favorite local eatery for breakfast. Feels like you're sitting at a café in France. Ocean view, great selection of baked pastries and breads. The most beautiful Cafe au Lait too! Friendly staff.

This was my second visit to a Moulin and while the food was again excellent and the location beautiful with the ocean view, my only disappointment was that it was a much smaller location and did not offer the same selection of bakery items and food.

I will go back. Food is great, as is the service. One observation: while I was there inside (45 minutes or so), I never saw one of the staff clean the tables. But I did see customers clean the dirty tables. But I will go back.

I love all the moulins and this one is no exception. It's at a lovely spot near the beach but the street is a bit busy because there's not a lot of seating or parking for the number of people. I love that there is something reasonably nutritious for the kids (roast chicken) and of course they love the treats.

I like the delicate desserts that Moulin is offering. And I think the price is reasonable for what they are bringing to the customers. Although I do like the Newport location environment better and that location has more products, this one at Dana Point is small but good. It is nice to have the hot crepes that’s made by order. Staff are friendly, professional, and interactive too.

I needed a quick lunch and wanted excellent food. Both my goals were met with a Moulin salad ready in the cold case. I ate in the restaurant and was on time for my next appointment.

This is an authentic French cafe on the corner, in San Clemente. We walked in for a cup of coffee, then stayed for breakfast, and got some wonderful items to go. The pastries were outstanding. We picked up a selection of Tarts and eclairs along with a baguette and some fig jam for our charcuterie later that afternoon.
A welcoming staff, wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food.

I ordered their croissant sandwich and a cup of coffee, and both were outstanding. The croissant was incredibly flaky and buttery, perfectly complementing the savory fillings that made each bite memorable. The coffee was rich, smooth, and the perfect pick-me-up to round out the meal.
The cafe itself exudes a charming, European vibe with an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The friendly and attentive staff added to the overall experience, ensuring that every detail was spot-on. Whether you’re looking for a cozy spot for breakfast or a relaxing coffee break, Moulin is definitely a must-visit in San Clemente.

If you’re anywhere near San Clemente, you have to stop at Moulin. It’s like stepping into a little slice of Paris—cozy, charming, and full of incredible food. The pastries are unreal: buttery, flaky croissants, rich pain au chocolat, and desserts that look like literal artwork. Think glossy fruit tarts, elegant mousse domes, and delicate layers that are almost too pretty to eat… almost. They’re as delicious as they are beautiful.
The sandwiches are just as amazing—fresh, packed with flavor, and served on the kind of crusty baguette that makes your whole lunch feel special. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the upbeat, happy vibe just makes you want to stay a while (especially if you grab a table out on the patio).
Between the food, the energy, and those jaw-dropping desserts, Moulin is hands-down one of my favorite spots. Go for one thing, leave with a whole box.
