Stopped in today for the first time. Wow! I didn’t think we needed another Acai shop but apparently we did. It’s adorable! Brand new interior, bright, modern and sparkling clean. They have a big menu - signature and make your own bowls with a ton of toppings, smoothies and refreshers. The friendly and great service was the cherry on top!

I went with my baby a few weeks ago and the young lady who was working there was so kind and helpful. I think she was only a junior in HS and she had a better work ethic than most! And the Açaí was delicious!

Absolutely adorable place!! The drinks are so good and they have a great variety. Best part is they're open late so you can enjoy their beautiful patio at night too ❤️ Deff going to be a regular spot for my friends

I was surprised by the low reviews! My sister and I stopped by after walking around San Clemente. According to my sister, Oakberry Açaí was an açaí bowl place she had known and seen her friends eat back in London. So, I was intrigued!
As açaí bowl lovers, we grabbed a ‘make your own’ 16 oz açaí bowl to split between us two. I think it’s such a treat to be able to build your own! You can place as many fruits as you would like. There is an option for chia seed pudding, which I found so nice to be able to add without additional costs.
An additional $1-$3 is needed for particular protein powders. There is two indoor seating facing the window, and more seating near the back where there is a little patio. Despite there being some trash bins stored in the back, they are tightly sealed for the most part so no flies to worry about too much!
The service was kind and speedy. The team prepared our bowl quickly and gave us a good share of what we had hoped for when we paid for the bowl! God bless you all!

We discovered oak Berry when we were vacationing in Miami and were so excited there was one coming to San Clemente. Unfortunately the quality wasn’t the same. One of the weird things (though they do this in all locations) is they put Acai bowls in cups. This makes it impossible to eat without everything falling off. But the weirdest thing of all is when you request protein powder, they don’t mix it in. They just put a layer of the powder. NO ONE eats protein powder this way. It was gross. We had to mix it ourselves which seems uncalled for when you’re paying so much money for basically a smoothie. It just seems lazy. See photos for reference. Also my bf said his has maybe 3 pieces of granola.

Wow just a great experience just took my wife in the store and I was really impressed. I mean I’m sad the French cafe left but having a Oakberry in its place is definitely an upgrade they really are doing a great job with there staff I mean I ordered like six things for my wife and 3 kids and the girl at the front sally I think her name is I mean she did such a good job I had to leave a review don’t miss out on a great experience guys I’m glad I got the chance to take my family to this location thank you so much!!

* I wanna add this because of the girl who decided to respond to my review in the comments below… i’m not sure if she knows a staff member or if maybe one of her kids friends worked there this day… However, Nobody was even in the store with us, nobody interrupted any other human being (staff included), my husband was the one handling it while I stood outside alone with our six month old daughter. I wrote the Google review once I got home with my husband‘s help because I wanted to make sure all the information was accurate. Before you try to make up a story and not validate what I have to say I would recommend you get your information correct. I also really think your response is distasteful in terms of class… I believe people are allowed to have their own opinion about things and experiences. Being “from here” doesn’t excuse poor customer service & quality. We were disregarded by the staff, we had no idea we needed to mix a bowl, and they refused to give us any information while they played on their phone… I would not pay $18 anywhere for this type of service or food. I also want to add that if you go on any of the other review sites, including yelp, there are other people with a story like ours… also the rest of my day was awesome so thank you!*
Staff is rude and wouldn’t help me figure out what a breakfast bowl was because it wasn’t “good & just overnight oats” basically was forced to get something else because they didn’t want to explain what a breakfast bowl was or tell me what it is.I don’t know if they make commission on the normal bowls or what but I won’t be coming back… it’s also a $7 difference in the breakfast bowl vs a regular bowl so that was super disappointing I didn’t even get the opportunity to understand their breakfast options. We also ended up getting a bowl anyway… And it literally just has straight whey protein at the bottom. I don’t know who eats protein powder raw, but I’ve never heard of or seen that in my life. We parked and came back inside once we got to the car and saw that it was straight chalk… They then told us they don’t know how to process refunds and there was nothing they were gonna do.

I really like OAKBERRY and the new store in San Clemente. Maybe they should add some plants on their patio but I am excited that they have a patio. I love all the free crunchy toppings that you can add to your bowl and have really enjoyed all the bowls I have tried. The workers are super nice even though sometimes there’s only one there and it’s kind of busy; get the app that way you can order through it and save up your points to get eventually a free bowl. It is my favourite açai place due to the customisation of toppings and I’d like the passionfruit and the crunchy quinoa that you can add, and the cocoa nibs I’ve had it at least once a week since I tried it and I have to stop myself from getting it twice a week and I don’t normally get açai bowls that much. I also really love the breakfast bowl at $7.95 even though you have limited toppings on that one it’s a great size but it stops at 11 am. Definitely recommend and can see why such a hit from Brazil.

Staff was rude and very nonchalant. I could probably make a better açai bowl at home, I’m not a picky person, but this is like drinking straight fruit water. The atmosphere and attitude of the staff doesn’t match San Clemente at all. To add to it, the staff didn’t even know how to work their own system, nor did they seem to think that was a problem. Would never come here again. There are many better açaí places in town that won’t charge you $17 for a bowl that tastes like it costs $5

Great location, aesthetic interior and very friendly staff! I ordered the Crunchy Açaí bowl. Presentation is lovely but the açaí texture was sadly horrible - very runny and watery.
Quality açaí should have a thick & creamy consistency. Not sure id come back.

Tried OAKBERRY for the first time in beautiful downtown San Clemente. This location is new for Oakberry and the residents here. The employees were very happy and helpful. They were able to accommodate my gluten sensitivity with something just as delicious as the original. We all had the Shred bowl and it was incredibly yummy! I’ve been craving another one all week.

What a Grand grand opening. Such a warm welcome and generous serving of their famous “shred bowl”.it is made of Oakberry with granola, peanut butter, banana and strawberry toppings. Filling and healthy! I believe oakberry (which comes from Brazil) is similar yet different to açaí. Easy to order in store or online in advance for a quick grab and go or sit on back patio amongst big oak tree and nature. I will definitely be back for more.
