Anti Veteran/American establishment. In 2010 I just got home from a very intense combat deployment in Afghanistan. I was alone, my wife and family on the east coast and rode my bike from base into town to get a beer, mind you this is the day I came home from war. I was denied because I did not have a California ID, they did not accept my Military Identification Card. Recent reviews indicate the same thing is happening as of this year. What a shame, a truly dishonorable establishment. I was denied a beer because I had a military ID. Their excuse as "only California IDs" is because they are a rich town next to a military base. š

Great bar. Been there for years, but please get rid of that older jaded woman w the tats . She is extremely rude and unhappy and she's proud of being rude. clearly cares not if she's fired w her behavior and bad attitude.

My favorite ? place to go. Great service, very cool friendly bartenders,the best security guys very good attentive alert doing their job and friendly ,its a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Itās a go place to enjoy a drink meet with friends and make new friends every time! Safe to go even by myself or with friends always itās fun.

I couldnāt believe my eyes!!Iām a 53 year old woman so I walked in with no problem. I was meeting my son (recently stationed Marine Officer at Pendleton) and I took a seat at the bar near the door. āSecurityā gave him an incredibly hard time because he didnāt have a California ID. Thatās right, he had his home state ID and a military ID proving his age (23). I personally asked the bartender and the bouncer for clarification and they said āthatās the way it is.ā Thatās a crazy shame. Go anywhere but hereā¦I know my family will.
Discriminatory bar, anti-American, the bar is right outside the Marine Corps base yet does not serve marines, how could you not want to support your country. If you donāt support your country like the bar then you belong here. Ironically the bar hires a marine as a bouncer tho. If you have an out of state ID do not even try.

My husband and I grabbed a few drinks here when we came into town late. Someone else already described it exactly the way we would: cool but not memorable. We got bottled and draught beers, so that's pretty hard to mess up, but our bartender was pretty great. Just fast and welcoming without overstepping into our date night. The biggest thing that has stuck with both me and my husband is that the vibe seems like they're going for "dive bar", but it was way too clean and calculated to have that genuine feel. I know that sounds goofy to complain about, but as dive bar collectors who also love bougie cocktails in fancy spots, it was weird to hang out in a bar that felt a little contrived. We enjoyed the drinks we had here, but I think the only thing I'll remember about it is that it isn't quite a dive bar.

Horrible Drugged Out transplant loser Bar and Vibe was bad .The bartender was rude as it gets and her sidekickdoorman was aggressive and violent type . Itās sad to say but San Clemente has no more locals left only
