Wine was good and the wedge salad was very good. Apple pork was dry and had no flavor and the filet was overcooked. If you aren’t a “member”, don’t go on a Tuesday night. They don’t take reservations so I’m not sure why they are even on opentable. The staff aren’t trained in great customer service. Had we been told it was an hour wait, we would not have waited. When our table was asked it everything was good, one in our party said “no” - and the waiter didn’t ask why! Very odd.

The server was great! Need more vegan options for dinners. Also, it was my birthday, and I told the server I was vegan. He brought desserts to the table that were not vegan. Thank you for the desserts though! Service was great. Wine was good. The noise level was very high.

Rancho Capistrano winery in San Clemente is definitely our go to place when we have friends from out of town. The service is impeccable. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, professional, and lots of fun. Thanks!
Valentine's Dinner Needs better desserts Note to restaurants kitchen staff - Do not put cheese on the mashed potato!!!! This killed my Dinner mood ? Needs more clear details on the Restaurants locations, I wanted to dine at the Capistrano location but mistakenly the reservation was made to the San clemente location. Our server was Great, don't remember his name but his service was outstanding! His wine knowledge and communication was excellent! Butternut soup was the best of the night!

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The Valentines Pre-Fix choices were delicious. As soon as you sit down they ask if you would like champagne. Each course came with a wine pairing. I selected the Chilean Sea bass for my entree which as delicious. I would come back.
The Valentine experience was wonderful! The food was great & the servers were amazing. They did a great job with the entrees....really good! Fun to have the wine pairing with each course. Thanks RCW

I made the reservation for an early Valentines Day dinner, and I arrive at the restaurant after making a reservation and the restaurant is closed for renovations. I called the manager the day after and he apologized, and said that OpenTable doesn't have a proper system to inform of any restaurant temporary closures.

We love Rancho! Such a charming location in the historic downtown, San Clemente, shopping and dining area. The entire staff is wonderful! They are headed by their terrific manager, Zach, and are always kind, attentive, welcoming, and happy to help personally guide each guest to the best wine and meal choice.   Regardless of whether we visit for a special night out or the Tuesday night member special, It always gives us a lift to visit Rancho Capistrano Winery in San Clemente!

Decided on this place to celebrate my girlfriend and I's first anniversary, and we were not disappointed with any aspect. The service was great, the wine was awesome and the food is delicious. It's not cheap, but it's money well spent for a nice dinner. It's actually priced well in my opinion. We will definitely be going back!
Always a lovely time at RCW...we usually go to the San Juan location, but decided to try the San Clemente tonight because of Puttin on the Glitz, and it did not disappoint! Our server Zack was awesome and attentive and the food and wine was delicious!

My wife and I did the wine tasting and had brunch afterward. First time going and won't be the last! First off, great atmosphere with fantastic wine and food. Rochelle gave us the presentation for the wine tasting and was very friendly and very knowledgeable.Something we noticed and appreciated was Rochelle switched out the glasses from the white and red wines, "other" wine tasting rooms we tried never did this. Also, we didn't have a reservation for brunch, but she got us in last minute. Fantastic service. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. To the manager(s), I'm not sure what you're paying her, but it's not enough! Also, get her some business cards of her own. Someone like her definitely needs them.I would highly recommend anyone in the area or out of town to try this place out, and if you do the wine tasting, make sure to ask for Rochelle!

Easy and cozy! Nothing out of the ordinary, but good for a simple evening out. The hostess working on Thursday evening was the sweetest, warmest woman. I'd go again just to see her. :)
