First time there and while most of our meal was very good, the steaks were mediocre at best. Bolognese ravioli, wedge salad, Caesar salad, sides all very good. I asked specifically do not slice my $91 - 35 day aged ribeye (I hate when restaurants do this, easiest way to dry out your steak). It came sliced, dried out and cold. Not waiting another 45 minutes so I didn’t send it back but I should have. Also the cut was literally 50% fat (not marble as one would expect for a ribeye), but inedible fat. Also had to hound the waiter to bring the wine (which should be paired with the steak). Not asking for much here. I like the atmosphere and vibe. High end restaurant, I have no issues paying top dollar, but come on guys. Pull it together. Meh, I’ll cook my own steak to perfection, thank you.

Celebrating our 49th anniversary but it was a one star occasion at Rare Society. Ordered filet mignon and Denver wagyu. Server suggested 3 meat platter which also included tri-tip; we accepted his recommendation, plus lobster mashed and asparagus, and one cocktail from the bar menu. Filet was heavily salted. Tri-tip was chewy. Lobster mashed was very soupy, liquid potatoes. Skinny asparagus smothered under some foreign sauce? Ordered 2nd cocktail when entrees arrived. 15-20 minutes passed. Server APOL a party of 24 had slammed the bartenders. Changed drink order to a mai-tai. Another 15 minutes we were ready to order dessert and coffee, when server delivered the cocktail from a half hour ago order. Declined it. He left it promising it wouldn't be charged. Didn't touch it. Asset GM stopped by to inform us our daughter had called in earlier to cover 2 drinks for mom n dad. Only had the first one. We ordered dessert. Bill came and it was $220. with $20 tax. Our 1 cocktail and dessert was covered by our daughter. No special anything 'comped' for 49th anniversary. Service lacking. Quality prime meats lacking. Been there twice; first time / last time in one visit. One star. But we still left 20% gratuity since Server has 3 children. GT in Monarch Beach

Very delicious steak and lobster. Steak platter was a lot better than seafood. The truffle bread & potatoe Lobster Is one of the kind as side dish. We did not like the ravioli because it was too salty. Their service is Good. Parking is a little hassle. Did not find Valet Parking.

We went in on two different shifts.First shift late afternoon/early eve was ok.Second shift a day later, eve...we received faster service, and I personally liked the blend of my martini much better than the one I had the day before.

Amazing experience. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, the decor was beautiful, and the food/drinks were top notch. Although pricey, you get precisely what you pay for! We’d go back again in an instant.

Service and ambiance is great. However, I was very disappointed in the food. Very salty food to the point I couldn't even finish my meal. Seems to be a common complaint and the restaurant has yet to make a chang. I'd highly recommend the chef, staff, and managers try the food and provide feedback on how to make the food better. Had the fride chicken, fish, and broccoli. All meals were too salty to eat. Had a couple apps and those were fine. Cocktails were fine as well however took 15 minutes to receive cocktails. For a premium restaurant, I expected more.

Recently went to this restaurant with my family for dinner. When first walking in everything was so beautiful and amazing to look at. The service was very good and all staff were very attentive as well. In saying all those positives the food, mainly the meat was severely undercooked. Three of us at our table had to send back our steaks that were requested at medium temp. When received they were very raw and barely edible. I will say when sent back and received back they were cooked better but for the price it shouldn't have been so hard to monitor the temp of the steak. The silverware was also very dirty and you could literally flake off debris from some of the meat tongs. Service was good but took a very long time to receive refills on basic things like soda or iced tea. A lot of the other food was good but also like warm when receiving. Could just be me but my thoughts are when paying a larger price for quality items for certain things like cleanliness of the eating utensils, proper cooking temperature of the meat so one doesn't get sick all play a factor into the dining experience. Beautiful restaurant. Maybe just a faux pas that night.

Such a beautiful restaurant, they did an amazing job with the decor. When you walk in the restaurant is very lovely and gives off a great Gatsby vibe. Everything we ate and drank was delicious, the meat was cooked perfectly! We really wanted to try the entire menu, which means we'll be back. The servers did a really good job as well, they were on it and very attentive. We absolutely loved our first visit here and can't wait to come back and bring more friends and family!

What a rare find! Had the best experience from beginning to end . Service was excellent, atmosphere amazing, food was superb! Bravo San Clemente! If you haven’t been there yet you’re missing out. ??
