I was visiting friends in San Clemente, and they took me to Rocco's. They had eaten there before and told me how great it was. We had reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday night. We arrived and the place was empty. Heather, our waitress was awesome. We had our pick of tables. I was concerned about the empty tables. Heather informed us that the owner Rocco had passed away, and I guess he was the draw. It was a sad story. However, the menu and the chefs hadn't changed. The menu was great and the food was excellent. It would be a shame to lose a great place like Roccos.
Try the risotto. Thanks, Heather. We left about 8, and there were a few more people there. Maybe it just needs some better marketing?

Risotto done right! Cesar did an amazing job this evening, burrata cheese with a base was pretty freaking good! Classic crème brûlée was on point! Cesar was a great server. Everything served quickly

Wonderful staff, perfect atmosphere. The chutney the crab cakes came with was so good, I still crave it. Last visit was 2023, will be back.

This is my husband and I's favorite spot! We had our wedding celebration there a few months ago and our server Sammy made it extra special and even added in a sparkler to our wine when he brought it to the table! He gave great service and was so personable. We love seeing him every time we come back. AND the food here is fantastic and reasonably priced for how fancy it is. Best pasta in South OC. I love that they also have the gluten free option.

Rocco’s has been our favorite for more than a decade. Anniversaries… our holiday party… client dinners… perfect for all the occasions. Every time I’m there and find the Chilean Sea Bass on the menu I shed a tear of joy. ;) Give them a try.. you won’t regret it. :)

Great spot and vibe that we are thrilled to add into the rotation. Cesar was a phenomenal host, making diner at the bar a pleasure! The veal masala and the pork chop was well enjoyed!

So good! Best ceasar salad i have ever had! Have not had a bad meal here in all the visits!

Our server was Cesar, and he was very attentive and accommodating. You can tell he puts the customer first before all and makes sure 100% satisfaction. The food was excellent. I had the Ropa Vieja, it was so delicious. Definitely will come back. Top notch food, service and atmosphere!

Escargot, totally forgetable, ate one, and that was too much, I can't believe any restaurant could serve a frozen snail and expect a good result, so disappointing.
