Escargot, totally forgetable, ate one, and that was too much, I can't believe any restaurant could serve a frozen snail and expect a good result, so disappointing.

The service was incredible. So helpful and patient. Loved the blueberry jalapeño margaritas. We all loved the food, definitely returning.

Absolutely excellent! Provided a wonderful Thanksgiving meal & to-go at that! So much thought, care & talent goes into their food! The chef is simply fantastic! 10/10 absolutely recommend!

Appetizers were very good and delivered in a timely manner. The main course was another story, as the resturant was not very busy and teh service was very slow. They wer out of several of our wine choices, which was frustrating.

Went here several weeks ago and it was excellent. Went back last night and had mediocre meal. The Ahi Crudo appetizer was overly spicy without great flavor and some of the tuna pieces were tough and stringy. My wife's chicken marsala was good, but my risotto was gummy, overly dense and some of the beef pieces were gristly. It's a nice place, though, and drinks were good, so will probably give it another try at some point.

What a disappointment. We ordered steak tartare to start. Whereas the beef was good, the chef thought it clever to mix in hoards of cheap processed cheese, making about a 50/50 split meat/cheese, it was dreadful. No seasoning and no toast to accompany. My wife took the ‘paella’ which was seafood with rice. Tasteless and consequently she has spent the day in bed. I had the scallops in bacon which were rubbery and overcooked. The dessert consisted of chocolate mousse piped into a toffee and nut cup. The service was better than the food. Definitely not sophisticated and definitely not European cuisine. You need to up your game guys. Not even approaching value for money.

I was disappointed. I'm Italian and can cook fairly well and after our experience I would not recommend Rocco's. Sub par food with a very noisy small space to eat. No parking and nothing special. Sonny's restaurant is a better choice if you are looking for reasonable prices and good Italian eats.

Rocco's is our special occasion choice and my birthday dinner was great. We were greeted and seated, enjoyed our cocktails and dinner. Zach was very attentive and all the staff have a smile on their faces, even though they an absent staffer. Thanks for a fun night!

OpenTable somehow let me book a 5pm slot though they did not open until 530. They heard me try the door and welcomed me in anyway, setting me up with a glass of wine while I waited for my friend. We shared a variety of the appetizers as our meal and all were excellent. The staff was attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back.

We had four different entrees in our party and they were all great. Standout dishes were veal saltimbocca and penne with spicy sausage. Rocco's is definitely a gem in San Clemente!!

Food was excellent. service very good. An unfriendly man in black{employee? host? guest?} seated at corner of bar, recognizing guests, then sitting back at bar corner appeared to be known by staff was rude and annoying. My party was ready to leave restaurant, but stayed, and enjoyed nice meal, as this man left on a skateboard.

We were put in the back in a table that was in a tucked away corner. This would have been fine, but I think it contributed to some of our service issues. The waiter was lovely, however the restaurant was understaffed. There were plates that were not cleared between courses (only half the table cleared. Water was only refilled partially after asking. The food was ok, things on the menu might have been mislabeled bacon as prociutto etc. menu is a concept I haven't seen before, which is fine, we love fusion restaurants... but didn't quite understand how this restaurants menu worked together.

Terrible horrendous service. Absolutely no attention to customers. Oily ordinary food. Why is this place rated highly?
