The chicken mole and chicken tinga tacos are unbelievable! This place has such good food. Their strawberry blended margaritas are by far my favorite, no one can top them. The chips, salsa and bean dip are like crack and you can’t stop. I eat here at least twice a month, and will never stop. Highly recommended! Great atmosphere and staff too! A must try! You will NOT be disappointed, I guarantee it!

Amazing Mexican food!! We went to eat there twice during our trip to San Clemente! The lobster enchiladas were the best enchiladas I'd ever had.

We have been here multiple times the food is ALWAYS good. My favorite is the shrimp taquitos. We have had a lot of other foods and they are good. Great virgin margaritas as well.

Good Mexican food in San Clemente. A little bit pricey but overall much better than other places similar to this one. Good service and great ambiance. Really close to other shops and restaurants. I had probably one of the best servings of octopus I have had in the US so far

Sol Agave in San Clemente is a standout for elevated Mexican cuisine in a space that feels like a refined Mexican hacienda—warm, stylish, and full of character.
The service was flawless. Grace (our server) made us feel genuinely cared for—welcoming, attentive, and detail-focused from start to finish. The entire team matched her energy, creating a relaxed, professional atmosphere that made the night special.
The tacos de camarones (shrimp tacos) were the highlight—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully plated. Every dish reflected high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation.
Sol Agave nails the balance of upscale dining and heartfelt hospitality.
Big thanks to Grace and the team—we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Really delicious and authentic food. Generous portions and excellent presentation. Our server was attentive and always available and responsive. We decided to sit on the patio because the inside was full and noisy. The patio was almost as noisy, but that's because everyone was having a great time. Nothing wrong with that. I would highly recommend!

My son and I were trying to find a last minute dinner on July 4th and we landed here. Chips, beans and salsa were all so flavored well and probably some of the best we have had! We both ordered a form of chicken tacos and the meat and flavor was very fresh. We loved the beans and salsa so much we put them on our tacos. Great place!
