If you get the chance to check out The Cellar on Del Mar, make sure to get the Fried Chicken Sandwich, you wont be disappointed. They have the best french fries in town and a stellar ranch. If you can grab a flight, make sure to try some of their wines.

For a Thanksgiving dinner this was a disappointment. The salad was supposed to have apple, barely a slice of mushy apple, chopped in tiny pieces. The prime rib was good. The chocolate souffle was supposed to have cream Anglaise, maybe a teaspoon, I asked for more - it was cold and runny. The spaghetti western my husband order - he says it's the worst he's ever had. Service was good. Pity, won't be back.

My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 1 year anniversary and had a wonderful time. We ordered the Lobster Bisque and French Onion Soup. Both soups were very rich, especially the Lobster Bisque, which was extremely creamy. I had the Striploin and Pomme Frites, which were both cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The meat was tender and juicy and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the Basil Fettuccine, which tasted fresh and had a nice texture. We ended the night with a Creme Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding, each of which was absolutely amazing. The portions were great, being just enough to be satiated without being too full. The ambience was romantic and charming, with beautiful architecture, dimmed lights and light music playing to set a fantastic mood for a romantic occasion. The service was also fantastic, with our server Lisa making sure we were well taken care of. The prices were quite high, but for the freshness and quality of the food it is to be expected. Overall a 10/10 experience which I highly recommend!

Celebrated my anniversary here. Staff congratulated my wife and I. Ambiance was amazing; dimly lit, decor was on point. The staff carries the overall experience, everyone from the food runner, to the bartenders, to our server were lovely. The food is the only reason I would not give the Cellar a 5 star review. At the price point, I believe most would agree, that there is a level of execution that is expected. Grilled Octopus skewers were great. My biggest gripe was with the entrée. My wife ordered the 9oz tenderloin. I had ordered the 16oz strip-loin. We had both ordered our degree of doneness to be. medium-rare. My wife's steak came out rare and my steak came out borderline well-done. The night was saved by the toffee pudding and crème brulee. That being said I'm sure there is a myriad of reasons why this could've happened, however as I mentioned above, at the price point, I believe the bare minimum would have been to have made sure the food going out to the patrons would always be spot on. Please be more attentive as to prevent this from happening to future guests. Cheers to the staff.

It's been several years since we have returned to the Cellar. I'm glad we did. Food was great, drinks were great. Service was excellent.

The food, service, and atomsphere was worth the cost. I can't recommend The Cellar enough!

Overall, I enjoyed eating here and celebrating my birthday with friends, though there were a few exceptions. First, the appetizer: my group and I ordered the Bone Marrow with seasonal jam and crostini; however, the crostini that arrived at our table were super hard, and I was worried my teeth would fall out from trying to bite into the hard bread. We did ask the waitress whether the crostini is usually that hard, and she said yes. One of my group friends asked if we could get a softer bread, and the second batch was tastier than the crostini that arrived. I'd rate the bone marrow a 6.5/10. The waitress did recommend trying the French onion and lobster bisque. I ended up ordering the French onion, and my other friend ordered the lobster bisque. I would say the French onion is much better than the lobster bisque, and would give it a 9/10, and the lobster bisque an 8/10. Afterwards, we ended up ordering mains and splitting them at our table (we weren't told that splitting a plate would cost $10; 4 of us ended up breaking a main, costing $20 to split the two plates). We ordered 2 16-oz striploins, 10-oz filet mignon, and basil fettuccine. The 16-oz striploin was cooked for medium rare; however, it was super chewy. The flavor was there, though. I wish it were more tender and not chewy. The strip loin I would give 7.5/10. The sides we ordered were Brussels sprouts and potatoes. Brussels sprouts were a delight, and I would give them a 9/10, though the potatoes that came with the meat were a bit salty. Unsure how the other felt about their mains, I did try one of my friends' fettuccini. It lacked some depth in flavor, so I'd give it a 7/10. For the central part, I enjoyed the drinks! The two wines I ordered (Rioja and Roger Sabon) were a delight, and it's a 10/10 for me! My friends commented that the drinks they ordered were also delicious! Kudos to the bartender! The waiter was kind and patient 10/10 for her service.

Loved the filet mignon with garlic mash and haricort verts. Their caesar salad is one of the best! Cocktails are amazing and our server was the best.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was incredible — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The drinks were just as impressive, perfectly made and creative. Our waitress was so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. The service overall was top-notch. I would highly recommend The Cellar to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Fullerton

It was my first time there and found the atmosphere was very good and cozy. The only correcting I would suggest, is to the dessert menu which lacked any kind of solid, bite-into cake. The Sticky Toffee Pudding does not qualify. However, in no way did it take away from the experience.
