Just so yall know, this is still JUST DENNYS but they are trying to do a virtual relabelling to seem different online. I get as a business you will try to reach out and maybe rebrand your reputation. But if you’re going to do that, at least make sure the food is actually DONE GOOD this time. Imagine rebranding just to produce the same disappointment smh

My boyfriend and I were VERY disappointed.

First, I was ordering through DoorDash. And both there, and on their online ordering website, they don’t allow you to make any changes to anything, or even add a note or request. So I couldn’t even ask for BBQ sauce in the bag, or make any changes at all to the sandwiches, like add ketchup, add caramelized onions, etc. So that alone bothered me. Especially because this place only does take out.. So I was going to go ahead, and just call them to ask for some BBQ sauce in the bag. But then I see there is no phone number posted online for this location… (I learned that this place is actually just Denny’s and not a real restaurant…my god, I would’ve never ordered in the first place if I knew that) So I had to text my DoorDash delivery guy and ask him to ask for some BBQ sauce, all for him to let me know that the restaurant was supposedly all out of BBQ sauce ???

So then I thought, if they are all out of BBQ sauce, will it not be on our sandwich?? I specifically chose the option to where if the restaurant didn’t have something, to please contact me, so I can choose whether to proceed with the order or not. But no one let me know, and then of course the sandwich came without BBQ sauce on it. This really bothered me, because the sandwich only had 3 ingredients! Cheese, brisket, and BBQ sauce. There were also no napkins in the bag which would have been nice for greasy food, so it was messy. But it gets worse.

The food itself was really my main issue .. the fries were okay, and same thing with the onion rings. They were both a bit soggy and bland. And the worst part, our sandwich… see I knew the meat was blackened, as it said on the menu. But almost every piece was just completely inedible. It was extremely tough. So tough, that neither myself, nor my boyfriend could bite through any of it. Even when I took the meat out of the sandwich, and really tried tearing it apart with my teeth as hard as I could. It seriously wasn’t budging at all. One or two bites was all I could get. The rest we had to throw out. We really wanted it to be good, we were so excited for it. But now I am just bummed that I wasted my money here. :/

Never coming back. Also would still like a refund. Never heard anything still from anyone !!

Well I wanted this place to be really good. The pictures of their sandwiches look amazing. Their pictures look like they are piled high with goodies The sandwich I received was nothing more than a complete let down. 3 pieces of brisket on Texas toast.

Enjoyed a fabulous breakfast here before our long Drive to San Francisco. Great menu variety and service (La Tunna) and very reasonable prices. Would recommend.

This Denny's is perfectly average. The place is pretty clean, not to my standards, but fine. the service is pretty good, not great, but fine. Parking is easy and free in their lot. No one wears a mask, no one cares. I am not surprised, we are in San Diego County. This Denny's is older than many we have in Los Angeles and if you are from out of the Country, Denny's is really just a diner that has okay food. Some are much better than others. This one is fine. Just be mindful of what you order. Stick with their breakfast and you will be fine. We were seated very fast and someone came to get our drink order. Our server was very nice and we liked him. We got our coffee and a Sprite for my grandson. All was fine. We ordered our meals. I went with breakfast because that is what they do best. My husband ordered steak with his breakfast, steak and eggs--mistake. My grandson ordered a burger--huge mistake. My eggs and pancakes were good. They came as ordered and I have no complaints. My husband's T Bone steak was just awful. It was ever so thin and cooked poorly. He ordered it medium rare, it came very well done. My grandson's burger was so burnt it was not eatable. Our nice server brought another one, not as burned, but not good. He did not eat it and we just shared my food. Their fries were terrible. The coffee was good, but don't expect them to refill and when you ask you will be waiting. I have never seen a burger so burned. So, order that and yes, they are going to burn it at this San Clemente Denny's. The server told us later that all are well done so no one will get sick. They are right, if you don't eat it, the burger is sure not going to make you sick. They clearly have no trust in their supplier or their methods of handling meat. But all in all, it was fine. The server was very nice.

Eggs Benedict has this gross cheese sauce on. Yuck. Pot roast was full of fat. I’d recommend skipping this dennys. Dirty floors and food leaves something to be desires
