The Pier Grill & Tackle

The clams were amazing, loved looking onto the beach. But the service was horrible. The server Marissa was on her phone sitting at the bar the entire time we arrived at 9 o’clock and we were not informed that the kitchen closed at 9:30 so when we order our first bucket of clams, we’re going to order a second round When I asked to order the second round kitchen was closed. She never let us know that the kitchen was going to close or come around and say hey the kitchen is about to close. Would you like to order anything else so we got to miss out on another round of clams… we waited over 10 minutes just to pay. We had our card out to Pay and she was on her phone for over 10 minutes. Not paying attention at all. Not very happy

The young man working there today, January 7, 2024 did an amazing job saving a little boys day... My son had seen the stuffed shark early in the morning and said he wanted it and me trying to teach a lesson about seeing all of our options before we choose something said let's see what else there is in town and if you still want the shark, we will come back... Hours went by as we explored the area waiting for our train back home and my son still wanted the shark so much that when I said let's go get it, he ran the length of the pair only to see that the shark was gone... His face dropped but he said, that's okay, I guess I can get the dolphin... The young man working said, there should be a shark and I told him it was gone, the young man working said hold on and came out of the back of the shack with a stuffed shark... This made my son's day and meant the world to him and me, because you saved our day... Thank you!

What a life saver!!! This little shack has good snacks and food to calm your hunger while hanging at the pier.

Very good food and very friendly employee. 100% recommended. And the views of the Pacific Ocean, beautiful.

A special place to eat a bourgeois. We went in November and they served us well, everything tasty. The person who served us was very friendly. we would repeat.

It was hafl way down the pier and had some very nice things !! We stopped by to look at the wind chimes .

They are always closed I been there 3 times and the one time it was open there was a drunk bald man grabbing birds on the roof very unhealthy and unsanitary

Great seafood. Fresh and yummy. Spot on service. Best view of the water. Reasonable prices. Fun cocktails too!

You can't beat the setting near the end of the San Clemente pier. Considering the location and the view (fog was rolling in as we were eating), the food was fine, but nothing special. I'd recommend waiting and going to one of the restaurants at the base of the pier or on the mainland.

Very good service, neat old time photos of the fishing pier, food was good too. Great waiter staff!
