I liked that they had a lot of dairy free options! Didn’t have a favorite though, but still happy to have tried it!

The very very best vegan ice cream and cookies using dates NOT terrible cane sugar. All the flavor; none of the sugar cRaSH. We drive 15 miles just for their ice cream sandwiches.

Best ice cream! Even if you are not vegan or dairy free you just feel better eating this ice cream. Such a great treat!

Amazing customer service and great flavor choices, alternating seasonal flavors often.

Oh man, you guys... I just had the most INSANE experience at Vedder's Ice Cream in San Clemente! Seriously, this place is like finding a dinosaur egg that hatches into your new best friend - totally unexpected and awesome!

Huge shoutout to Lily who helped me out - absolute STAR employee! She hooked me up with this mint chip ice cream sandwich between two almond flour chocolate cookies that literally blew my mind. I was standing there like Owen from Jurassic World seeing a dinosaur for the first time... just pure amazement!

The craziest part? This whole thing was VEGAN and sweetened with dates! I mean, come on! I've battled aliens and dinosaurs on screen, but nothing prepared me for ice cream this good being healthy too. It's like when you think you're just getting a regular workout but then Chris Hemsworth shows up and you're suddenly doing Thor-level training... so... yeah.

Plus, this place is women-owned AND they donate to charity with every purchase. That's what I call a superhero move! Guardians of the Galaxy? More like Guardians of the Ice Cream, am I right?

I'll definitely be back, dude. Probably tomorrow. And the next day. My trainer's gonna kill me, but whatever - life's too short not to have awesome ice cream that's actually good for you! Hope you’ll love me even with a fat face.

Really happy to have found an entirely plant-based ice-cream store that utilizes healthier/cleaner ingredients.

The only slightly critical thing I’ll say about the ice-cream is that coconut cream (the main ingredient) is a dominating flavor/texture - so the individual flavors of the different ice creams don’t pop out that much.

That being said, I’m likely to visit again as the service was friendly and I like the principles behind the product.

Hi! So. We actually really enjoy Vedder’s ice cream and cookies! The flavors are always really nice. However, we have gotten about 4 pints so far and always find hard pieces in it. Some of them are short and shaped like a “c”, and some are more hair-like (like in the photo). We thought maybe it was coconut, or maybe frozen fruit strings? But it’s definitely clear/white and hard like plastic. More than wanting to say anything bad, I’m just kind of wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone can explain what these are- because we’d love to keep enjoying!

So exciting to see a gf/dairy free/refined sugar free ice cream in the area :)
This ice cream is good for what it is. I feel like the flavors I tried were really overwhelmed by the flavor of coconut, and honestly could benefit from some salt to round the flavors out, just from a culinary perspective.

The shop was very cute and clean, but the staff seemed to have limited knowledge about the flavors and struggled to tell me about the flavors I asked about (ex. She had no idea what was in the tropical blend…and a lot of I don’t knows, which was too bad since this was my first time here! Not really ideal, given this place seems to focus on allergens and dietary restrictions. Not the end of the world though haha

I’d give it another try if I were down in the area! It’s nice to have this option and not be worried about gluten cross contamination :)

I was so excited to have a gluten and dairy free ice cream that wasn't sweetened with cane sugar. They use coconut sugar!

I had the chocolate chip cookie dough and it was nice and creamy and the cookie pieces were perfect size.

Cutest ice cream shop in old town San Clemente. The “n”ice cream flavors are excellent. Strawberry and cookie dough are a personal favorite for me. The shop is clean, adorably appointed and the service was excellent. it’s always fun to visit the shop and I love that this product is also available at other local organic stores as well.
