Why 5 stars? First this is a sweetheart of family run restaurants and while small and quaint, has great value, super food and a great selection from start to finish. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

This is an unassuming place that has great food. It doesn't look much from the outside. It was packed on the inside. We chose to eat at one of the 2 tables outside. Service was very good. Nice friendly employees that appreciate your business.

Love this restaurant. It is a gem in the center of town that is perfect for date night or a night out with family. Small, intimate environment with great food. It does not disappoint from starter to main to dessert.

I had dinner somewhere else and I was walking and I stop there and ask for Coffee and dessert we ordered cheesecake it was so delicious and I was so regret didn’t have my dinner there I felt food is going to be amazing there and I planned to go back for following weekend I still cannot get over the taste of cheesecake and amazing coffee I send my friend there and she had food there and she told me it was so delicious and she want to go back again ❤️ I highly recommend this restaurant

Five of us celebrating a couple of family birthdays on a Saturday evening. Small place that seats maybe two dozen, so not noisy at all. Beer and wine only with a pretty limited selection. Food includes Moroccan selections but also many mainstream entrees and specials. I had the Moroccan curry, a chicken breast in a mild curry sauce atop a bed of rice. Wife had the hangar steak which she said was excellent. Flourless chocolate cake for dessert was heavy and rich. Service was great and kitchen is only ten feet away.

I have to rate The Mediterranean Rim on Del Mar 5Stars. Their food is Always consistent, and always consistently delicious. Such a cute and cozy place. Its our favorite “date night” restaurant in town. I personally Love the goat cheese salad, Squash Soup, Skirt Steak, Fish, ?Wine sections are great, and the sauces they create are fantastic. Must add the best homemade cheesecake for desert. Thank you.

Horrible customer service, Do not stop at this restaurant. The way they treat their customers is disguisting. American host that was at the front of the Restaurant was the worst. The worst customer service ever. I asked If I could use the restroom with a purchase and associate said no because of my physical and my english accent.

The oso buco was so good on Saturday night that we went back a week later to have it again. Wine list is great. Service was great. This place is a gem. It is now my new favorite restaurant

Some of the best food in San Clemente. Braised beef cheeks are do not miss. Chef is super nice and comes out to greet tables

Literally, one of the 2 best meals I've ever eaten in San Clemente. So sad we didn't try it sooner as my neighbor has been raving about Village Mediterranean for a while! The lamb Oso Bucco was better than FABULOUS!! Hubby had the Sea Bass with Crab pesto, Pear salad and Panna Cotta....also excellent. The biggest problem for me was choosing among the many delicious sounding entrees!! Guess I'll have to go back soon to try them!!!!! But seriously, skip the chains from Laguna and try this placeYou won't be disappointed.

Such a hidden gem. The hummus is amazing. Love the poached pear salad and goat cheese salad. Everything is delicious really. So easy to walk by and completely miss it. HUGE mistake. Best Mediterranean in south OC

I wish I had thought to take pictures, because the food here is beautiful and incredible. I can’t believe it’s not always packed. I had the Wild Mushroom and Asparagus Fettuccine and my party also had the 10 Hours Braised Boneless Short Ribs, the Lamb Meat Loaf, and a special called the Beef Cheeks and they were all amazing. My party especially loved the flavor and how tender the meat was.Our server was Josi and she was great!!

A little gem on Del Mar street. Small intimate setting with fresh dishes with a Mediterranean twist. The lamb, beef and fish dishes are all excellent. The sauces make the difference for me. Just a nice place for a great meal.

December 2021This place was recommended by the friend from the firm. Service was severely understaffed, we waited for everything from the time we arrived. Food was another big dissapointment as well. In a weird way, we felt rushed, 3 times 2 different people told us that the kitchen is closing or is closed. Our experience did not justify the bill we had. Sad.
