Super disappointed with the last few times I’ve gotten food here. Unfortunately it has really gone downhill. Not sure what happened. The spicy basil chicken was like canned cat food and the pad see ew was like half the quantity it usually is, didn’t have any Chinese broccoli and bland. I got pad thai last time and it was really dry. I won’t be eating here anymore :(

This place has really gone downhill in the past 2 years. The pad see ew noodles we received tonight via doordash was completely false advertising. The noodles were the thin pad thai noodles instead of the wide pad see ew noodles and the chinese brocolli was missing. There was also barely any flavor. We will never order from them again. Save your money and order elsewhere.

This was a huge disappointment. I knew that it was in the back of a liquor store, with only a few very small tables, but I had been led to believe that the quality was much higher. Additionally, the cashier said we could drink beer at the outside tables. The owner of the liquor store was adamant that no liquor could be consumed on the premises. The food was average at best.

If you want REAL THAI FOOD this place will be a NO for you! Don't waste your time and money going here and take your self to Banh Thai. Curry doesn't even taste like curry, potato WAS UNDERCOOKED, and the size was not cut into small pieces, curry has a BIRRIA TASTE.
This place has gone severely downhill in the past 2 years and we will never order from them again. The pad see ew noodles we ordered tonight via doordash was false advertising. They used thin pad thai noodles instead of the thick pad see ew noodles, the chinese brocolli was missing and it barely had any flavor/sauce. What a complete waste of $15. The pad thai we ordered barely had any flavor as well. Save your hard earned money and order elsewhere.

I love 55 thai!!!! It is for sure the best thai in san diego. Their flavors are strong and bold. Their spice level is actually spicy! They have the legit little thai chilis. The restaurant is very accommodating and can make almost anything gluten free. Veggies are always fresh. This is my go-to thai spot

I regret to say that my recent takeout experience was disappointing. The quality of the food was simply unacceptable. It's evident that the kitchen took significant shortcuts with their preparation methods. To my surprise, the potatoes in the curry were undercooked and the size of two large kiwis. We ordered the yellow curry (pretty mid in flavor and their white rice was mushy), Thai fried rice with chicken (extremely dry), and drunken noodle (poorly executed, lacked the usual flavor notes you would expect eating real drunken noodles). All of it was ordered to be "spicy" but there was absolutely no heat whatsoever. The First and last time eating at this establishment.
