Food tastes good, but the portions are so small. Each time we've gone the amount of meat on the sandwich and the number of fries has decreased significantley. And for over $17 a "meal", which is only a sandwich and fries, it's not worth it. I love to support small businesses but unfortunatley the prices are too high for the portion size. I'm sorry but we won't be buying food from here any longer.

I ordered the hot link platter, and my wife got the sampler plate. The food is very good and has huge portions. The BBQ beans were delicious.
I just finished an order of ham. Outstanding flavor and texture. I bought it from the "by the pound" menu. It was sliced and covered in sauce and cooked to perfection. I also bought a pound of turkey. The meat here is served as an individual serving, a family meal, or enough to serve a large party. If friends drop by in large number, you can count on having enough to serve within a half hour including the drive. The price for two pounds of ham and one pound of turkey was about $58. That would not go far at a place like Kentucky fried chicken. And you won't be forced to eat legs and thighs. The value is of high standard and wasn't effected to badly by Joe's inflation. This is good American cuisine that will satisfy people of all nationalities. The staff is very friendly and a real pleasure to interact with. And here is something you don't run into much anymore, they speak English, and they accept cash. This place is crowded during lunch hour with construction workers and personnel from Miramar marine base across the street. Parking is hard to come by, and I've had to go elsewhere on more than one occasion. But in a review of just the quality of food and service, this is an excellent place to eat. And an above average place to take lunch or dinner. And a place that will provide an unsurpassed meal for a playoff party.Parking: Lots of stores and few spots.

Classical Texas BBQ & beer. Beef brisket, pork and chicken are provided. Beef brisket is fancy and juicy. But the thing is, price level rises so fast. The beef brisket+2 sides meal cost $29 pre tax now. We ordered that meal, and paid for $35 after tax and tip.

Best tasting BBQ I have had in a long while. Seasoned and smoked to perfection. We had the variety platter - plenty for two. Corn bread excellent, fries crispy and real, onion rings so-so. We will be back.

Was craving some Texas barbecue so my friend and I found this on Google and went to try it. I ordered the Texas Chainsaw Mammoth Sandwich ($20 - Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Mild Kielbasa, Bacon, Over Easy Egg, American Cheese, Onion Rings, Coleslaw, Fries, BBQ Sauce and Ranch), smoked burnt ends and a half pint of potato salad. Food was solid but the brisket was kinda dry. What a mountain of a sandwich though. My buddy got brisket, baked beans and potato salad.
