My name is Bruce. This is one of my favorite coffeehouses in all of San Diego. I love the place. It's very relaxed and low key. The service and friendliness of the staff are great. It's in a great location for people watching. It's very dog friendly as well. And they make sure to memorize the names of the regular customers. It can get crowded, due to the convention center visitors coming over.
Best pour-over coffee I've ever had. I ordered the Achilles scramble with a cup of the Ethiopian pour-over and enjoyed it so much I got a Mexico Decaf pour-over to go. I'll be stopping in again during my stay in San Diego.
Pleasant service and great vibe. Unfortunately, both of my pourovers were disappointing on the two visits I made this week. The second was prepared without a scale and ignored for long periods--far longer than appropriate between pours. It just sat there, cooling off and neglected while the barista was (understandably) busy making other drinks.
