Just placed an order about 30-40 minutes ago, two oxtail plates LARGE and 4 chicken patties. When I went to pick up my order, there were no patties, the gentleman said they didn’t have any? My order did not have much food for it to be a large meal. I was also suppose to get plantains but was given some hush puppy looking thing that was dry and hard. The rice is old and dry, cabbage is hard and has no taste. Definitely will not be returning to this location. (The first picture is what is on their website and the second in my large meal)

The chef makes me never want to never cook curry goat or chicken again! I am a born Jamaican and pride myself on my skills in the kitchen that I often don't prefer to eat out since what I make at home is most times better tasting. However, after tasting both the curry chicken and the curry goat Chef Lee prepared, (mi a dash weh mi dutch pot) I am throwing out the pot brought from Jamaica I use to make my curry. The meat was so well seasoned I was transported back to my aunts house in the hills of St. Thomas in Janaica, for she makes the best curry you could ever taste. It was not too hot/spicy and the flavor hmmmmm hmmm curry heaven.
The customer service from the casher was the best I have received, counting all the other three Jamaican restaurants I have tried in East County. The casher was friendly, helpful, and pleasant to talk with. The location is clean and well maintained, and I felt welcomed and unrushed during my transaction.
Now that said, the negatives - rice and peas was on the softer side, but given that nobody can get it perfectly fluffy every time, I will not hold that against the chef. Portion sizes are a little smaller than the other restaurants, too, but as somebody who is watching my portion intake, I can live with that.
I will be back to try some other dishes to determine what else I will be giving up cooking.

This is my second time there. First time ig their stove was broken n yes it's been around 3 yrs when that happen so I was given day old food. That tasted day old but I didn't complain ppl go through things so ok. My husband pushed me to give it a try again. I do not eat beans so I asked for the white rice which is advertised on their menu. I love white rice n curry I've had it growing up in FL. Goat, chicken doesn't matter I'll do both. As long as I get white rice n lots of juice on the rice bomb. But was told they don't make it. I drove really far to get their food n try it again to not b able to eat. I will not eat curry with anything other then white rice. So for that I gave their food a 2 stars. My husband liked their jerk chicken I can't eat spicy food so I can't speak on it. But one thing I will SAY THEIR PATTIES R THE BEST IN TOWN THE CRUST IS AMAZING the plantains I ate weren't too good n cold as a puerto rican we love plantains so that was disappointing. But if I ever want patties I'll probably go back but just for patties I'm good on the actual food. The guy behind the counter was cool love his attitude n courteous.

They have horrible customer service and don’t even have what you want to eat. They were out of the curry goat and various other items.

I went for lunch and did the Jerk chicken and beef meat pie. It was so good! The vibe there is also very chill and the main chef is so kind. Definitely check out this spot for solid Jamaican food!
