Adalberto's is a typical mexican fastfood restaurant. Most people use take-away, i dont wonder, because there might be many drug-addicted people in this area in the evening.
The food, however, is perfect, exactly what I expected. The carne asada was delicious, especially the fries with carne asada. The torta was made with more green salat than usually, but it was very good stopping me to think about the health impact of this great mexican fastfood.

Nothing to rave about. Dude working the counter was rude. My Burrito with steak and everything was decent. The red sauce is good. The cheese chicken rolled tacos were gross, the carne asada tacos "taste like azz" per my wife. The potato taco was.... a potatoe taco lol. Flavorless. Glad I tried a san diego taco but... we got yall beat in Chicago. Maybe it's the americanized taco places I need to try with fried fish and aolis or whatever lol.
I ordered a combo and a tamale a la carte. Like I said, the food was excellent. I was disappointed with the tamale presentation. I wished there was mole, sour cream, pico de Gallo, some lettuce like the photo on the wall promised. Nope. A plain tamale, tasty, but lonely and uninviting. Will try again soon.
