The accommodations at this hotel were superb, with attentive service and luxurious amenities that made our stay truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-tier hospitality.”
We come here all the time and the quality of the food never disappoints. Highly recommend the meat combo and the veggie combo. And the Ethiopian coffee- they roast it fresh.
The food was amazing and the honey wine was unique. All in all a calm and pleasant place to savor authentic Ethiopian food.
Wonderful place to eat! Great food, helpful staff, lovely ambiance, and a very unique dining experience overall. Even the kids loved it. We are just visiting San Diego, but if we lived in town we would eat here all the time!
The food was amazing. The owner is friendly and checks in on the qaulity of the experience. A rare example of an attention to detail lacking in many 4 and 5 star resturants. Some of the most flavorful food you can eat in the SD area. Highly recommend!!
Decent food, decent service, pricey for the small amount you get. I love Ethiopian food and have definitely had better for much less. The cold salad with raw onions didn’t add anything imo. Atmosphere was nothing special. As someone who loves animals, I especially disliked the chairs covered in leather and goat’s hair. Indoor seating, street parking only.

The only reason it is not 5 stars is because of the price. We are from Oakland where a good filling Ethiopian meal for 2 comes in at <$30. Here the serving sizes are so small we (2 people) had to order 5 dishes.Food/flavor 5 starService 5 starAmbience 4 star (it was cold and we weren't allowed to sit in the traditional seating without more people)Price 3 starGranted the dishes we got were amazing. We ordered the vegetarian combo and another veggie dish recommended by the owner. Good amount of spice on all dishes, soft and extra sour enjera makes for a happy tummy. When we weren't full, we order another beat dish and sambusa (think indian samosa or argentinian empanada). Personally LOVE beets so was my fave though the most expensive dish for what it is (and had an uneven ratio of potatoes to beets in there).
I don’t know if it’s luck or if I’m just that good in picking good places to eat!!! ? first time trying Ethiopian food and it was,“ pa chuparse los dedos” (finger licking good) as we like to say !! So good, definitely recommend! I had the 3 meat combo. I believe it’s number 12 on the menu. delicious ? ate everything on my plate. If your curious about trying Ethiopian food or you already love it! and are trying to find a good spot, look no further, this is the spot. You’re welcome.
Great food and very friendly staff. I loved the Awaze and chekena tibs, along with the dero wot and veggie combo.
