Alesmith is a San Diego staple and absolutely worth a stop on any brewery crawl. The Del Mar location is massive — tons of space, great setup, and you can instantly tell how electric it must get on weekends. I stopped by on a Monday night, so it was quiet, but that gave me the chance to really appreciate the space and chat with the bartenders.
Service was top-notch: knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the beer. I went with the Clásico and it did not disappoint — crisp, balanced, and exactly what you’d expect from a brewery that nails consistency and quality across the board.
Looking forward to coming back during peak hours to experience the full energy. If you’re into craft beer, Alesmith is a must.
I’ve been a big fan of Alesmith for years. Growing up idolizing Tony Gwynn and watching the Padres every night, the flagship .394 Pale Ale has been a staple in my fridge since its release. Recently, we celebrated my wife’s and my birthday at the brewery, and decided to book some time with the golf simulator. It was a huge hit with everyone, regardless of golf experience. There was plenty of space, the sounds and vibes were perfect, and it made for an amazing visit.
A special shoutout to Mason, who went above and beyond. From getting us set up to checking in on us throughout our stay, he made the experience even better. Visiting the brewery is always a great idea, but adding time with the golf simulator truly made it an exceptional outing!
Great atmosphere, very family-friendly, lots of beers on tap, good food trucks, and spotlessly clean. Great place to watch a game or just hang out. One of the best!
Super fun place! There’s a great open seating area in the back behind the restrooms that’s more kid friendly and quiet. Great beer, great food trucks.
Good atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, it was my first visit here and I felt pretty welcomed!
Big place, nice for after work stuff. I'm not a beer person, but the Apple Cider is nice..
One of the most amazing brewing company's to grace us with beer. Had a flight when I was in Long Beach and will never forget it. We need AleSmith in the Midwest.
Iv been here all day playing a TCG tournament and first have to shout out ale smith for hosting. We don’t take up much space and we get here early so it’s awesome they have so much space and don’t kick us out. Also they provided water! But really gotta shout out the guy running plates for the food truck he always had the biggest smile on his face and it’s so refreshing.
Speedway is my favorite beer, anywhere!
one of the greats. good selection and great food trucks outside.

We hosted our wedding welcome event here in their upstairs private space and it was awesome. The whole staff was very helpful and friendly throughout the planning process and the space itself was very lovely and spacious. Our guests had a great time and I would highly recommend AleSmith to anyone who wants to host a private event. Very reasonably priced. And of course, great beers and drinks!
Fantastic beer in a great location
Has a cold factory atmosphere rather than comfy
Huge space with a true hometown vibe! Tons of merchandise that perfectly blends San Diego culture with the brewery’s roots. Honestly, some of the best beer you’ll ever have. The only downside is that it’s a bit of a drive for me, but totally worth it!
GOOD BAR
