We went to Alexander's on the Tuesday special night. I tried to get a reservation, but they weren't available until the Monday right before, so put on an alert to be notified and you might be able to make a reservation last minute. Parking is difficult, and the restaurant was packed when we got there. Our reservation was for 7pm and we weren't seated until 7:20pm, but all of the staff were incredible, very kind and attentive. The Tuesday deals are good for the quality of food. We had the Stuffed Mushrooms off the regular menu which were amazing. Everything else was off the Tuesday menu, including the garlic bread, cup of minestrone, $5 wine, Lemon Pasta and Spicy Pasta. We wanted to try the entrees because they were a better deal than the make your own, but I wish I would have tried the make your own. The spicy pasta was great, and the lemon pasta was also still very good, just a little too much basil for my taste. The ambiance is incredible, cute white table cloths with fairy lights, candles, and a movie projecting in the outside dining area. I definitely want to come again sometime!

Had a ladies night out here, the food was amazing and the staff was even more so. Will definitely come here again, we even talked about making it a once a month thing. Absolutely loved how they played classics alongside eating the amazing pasta. Cannot wait to go back.!!

No parking, no valet, loud pop music, really friendly and accommodating customer service but wait time was insanely long and food was terrible, every dish I tried was bad. I've been to Italy, I've been to many Italian restaurants and I get the whole authentic pasta bar vibe they're going for but the food is bad. I had the seafood stuffed mushrooms, never had them stuffed with seafood and now I know why, because it doesn't go or maybe they just didn't do it right. Spicy Cesar was not spicy, at all and was super bland, had two stale pieces of hard dry bread on top, and don't even get me started on the mussels. I love mussels and this is the only time I haven't, because get this- the mussels themselves were good but were not very big on the inside. However, the real kicker was that IN the sauce were chunks of beef I believe BIGGER than the mussels themselves. It was sooo out of place and out of touch. Seafood ravioli and baked bolognese shared the similar quality that all I can really say about both is they taste like frozen pasta. Didn't stay for dessert because I was just so frustratingly disappointed. Shouldn't have the audacity to serve only wine and beer with how much more effort they should have put into perfecting their menu. Appetizers came out fast and pastas took like almost an hour it was getting kind of ridiculous but everyone is friendly I guess lol so we felt bad. 4/10 Overall. Food 2/10

Our dining experience was fantastic! We got a pizza and a pasta and shared. Both were delicious. Danyell checked on our table frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. She was awesome! Thanks so much for a fun night!

Wonderful service and the food was really good. We had the beet salad and the pesto pasta, Alfredo pasta. All solid. The house Argentinian cab was really soft and elegant as well.

Alexander's is a cute restaurant with a romantic feeling to it. The mussel appetizer, served with delicious bread, was outstanding. We enjoyed a delicious pizza and a couple glasses of wine. Overall a great place for a nice dinner in San Diego!

Food very mid. Great ambience. Several dishes emphasized styler rather than flavor. Pizza without cheese, shrimp scampi within minimal shrimp..

We have been to Alexander's multiple times and it never disappoints. Always consistent. Had a great server, Jesse, recommended the baked feta and it was fantastic! We split the spicy cesaer salad and the chicken piccata. They were both delicious and more than enough considering we enjoyed some of the fresh bread they serve as well. We sat inside this time, but their patio seating is delightful, early evening or at night, so definitely request if this is your first time dining there!

The food tasted very good and the price was excellent, but the waiter took too long to bring my drinks and took more than 15 minutes to return with my credit card

Very nice Thanksgiving dinner, beautiful restaurant! Great location... The dinner itself was a bit pricey but still excellent.

Pasta night is a hit! You can create your own pasta or choose one of three preset ones. The ambiance is SO CUTE for Christmas. They were playing Christmas movies outside as well. Will try to get back before the Christmas season is over.

Me and my family decided to check out Alexander's on 30th for their $8 pasta and $5 wine night! It was amazing and my son liked it because he felt fancy!! I love the fact that they offer deals such as this to make their restaurant affordable for all! The food 10/10 my fav was the marinara sauce with the Italian sausage spaghetti
