Excellent thin-crust pizza, not easy to find in San Diego. The focaccia was also very good. The space feels cozy yet refined.

One of the best thin crust tomato souce pizza in San Diego but authentic Italian taste !!! They Use variety of fresh Italian cheeses. Their housemade focaccia bread is worth trying. Tried their Scrocchiarella Nutella Dessert is a must try đđŒâ ... It is served warm ..a with mascarpone cream, something unique.
Given the weekend crowd, service speed could have been better.

Airport pizza was terrible.
Ambrogio15 is the real deal. We ordered a classic Pepperoni and the Salamino Piccante, and both were exceptional. The thin crust is absolute perfectionâthe dough is exquisite, light, and beautifully blistered from the wood fire. Every ingredient tastes fresh and intentional, and this is not American-style pizza; itâs truly authentic Italian pizza. Each simple ingredient is elevated with unmistakable Italian excellence. The service was friendly and prompt, the space is clean and inviting, and you can sit inside or outside. Itâs the perfect spot for a sunny lunch, and they even have heaters for cozy nighttime dining. Easily one of the best authentic wood-fired pizza experiences around.

EDIT: the owner reached out to us apologizing which was very kind. I guess there was a mix up where they thought the gf pizza was an appetizer. Just a misunderstanding
The ambiance is sweet. But we ordered, 2 salads, 1 gluten free pizza, 1 gluten free focaccia, and 3 other pizzas.
They brought out the gluten free items and salads all at once in about 15mins and then we waited another half an hour (45mins total) for the other 3 pizzas.
Perhaps if we werenât dining with 2 toddlers (we had a 5:30 res and it was almost empty when we arrived) it wouldnât have been so frustrating.
The pies themselves were good. The gluten free was good when it was hot⊠but hard/chewy as it cooled (as most sadly are). But always so happy to have an option of any kind. Just wish the service was a little betterâŠ

Everything you want in a quaint neighborhood restaurant. Excellent food, outstanding wine list, personal service. You can have a simple pizza dinner, or utilize the whole menu and dine properly.
What a lovely experience with the special Italian wines and Christmas dinner.... Wines were expertly paired with Ambrogio 15's incredible choices .... A neighborhood classic and gem.
Love this place. Everything was yummy and clean food. Only complaint is the noise level is high and even the food server had to bend down to talk to us.
Amazing, true Italian style thin crust pizzas, and other Italian dishes. High quality ingredients and traditional, as well as unique pizzas. Also the best Lasagna I've ever had. The appetizers and salads are fantastic as well. Excellent, friendly service. The owner, Giacomo truly cares and is always interacting with the diners. Creative cocktails and a great wine list are available as well. Ambrigio15 is a local gem and after having pizza in NYC, and other cities, I am convinced they have the best pizzas in the U.S. I Strongly recommend A15.
I met Chef Fabio after spending a month in Italy. What an evening!! Authentic Italian food prepared and served by the best Italian chef in San Diego. Fabio made our familyâs celebration spectacular. Our out-of-town guests from NY made us promise to bring them to the restaurant on their next visit. Weâre looking forward to it!! Grazie Fabio!!!!

Service: Big shoutout to our server, Jacques â super friendly and attentive!
Food: The house salad was really refreshing, and the pizza totally reminded us of our trip to Italy â thin crust and so authentic! The espresso and latte were both excellent. We loved everything we ordered and had such a nice, relaxing brunch on the outdoor patio.
Parking: Easy to find parking in the early afternoon, just keep in mind thereâs a 2-hour street parking limit.

Okay sooooo, i originally visited the ambrogio in del mar and the server told me this spot was the original location. This time i brought my friend for lunch. I had the mistaken margarita. Guess what, i even met the owner, and my gosh was he charming! The pizza was delightful! San diego has so many hidden secrets! I will return!!
Really happy we tried Ambrogio15! The service was great. The ambiance was lovely. The food was delicious. It is on the pricier side but I think that is to be expected given its location. We will most certainly be back again!

The kitchen was backed up so food came very slowly. Almost an hour for our pizzas, but they were quite delicious.
