Pizza oven is broken so we gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered alternative food, spending twice the money for non-sharable entrees - then this showed up. 🙃 Shrink-flation 💯😠. Waitress didn't seem to care. A $16 oversized mcNugget.
Just went in for a beer bartender just ignored I know it's busy but guy looks at me with nothing to do and walk away will never return don't know about the food I'd say go across the street for that

Not crowded and I also did not get acknowledged at the bar. Plenty of staff walked pass me. Place looks nice but customer service was not it. Most likely not coming back.

Food was pretty good. Server was friendly, but service is extremely slow. Took forever to get anything. It wasn't busy at all. Again, food was pretty good.

Came here for a Padres wild card game. Previously had a sub-par wing dinner experience but I’m glad I gave them a second chance. The service was spectacular and the food was delicious! Specials were great and the vibe was awesome!

Super inconsistent on prices. We got 2 for 1 cards before we entered. First round was $36 second one was $50. We ordered the exact same thing twice. This place has no idea what there doing with their promo’s
Cool, typical American sports bar with good music, broadcasts of sporting events, good prices and delicious food. There was even happy hour for certain drinks until 7 p.m. Service was good. Can definitely recommend.

1st time here and had the blackened shrimp tacos. They were more like shrimp fajitas but still pretty good. Nice selection of beer and not outrageously priced. A good clean restaurant, sports bar. Not my favorite 5th Avenue place, but far from the least favorite. Probably hit one more time before end of padre season. They don't open till 5 which is a little weird during baseball season.

As a European tourist in San Diego (and a big Padres fan), I ate delicious chicken wings in this typically American sports bar and watched the Padres play a game. I can only recommend it and would come back anytime.”

Kind of pricey for me but I'll be honest, with the service and the atmosphere... It's worth it

Back around January this year I came in for a drink. At the bar the bartender chuckled and handed me a glass of water saying 'you should drink some water.' I was not intoxicated at all just standing there quietly. She was mocking me because an episode had happened with me at another nearby establishment that had circulated around the Gaslamp. She handed me the water suggesting drink this to not cause a scene again. I don't know her name she was young and had dark hair and I assume still working there because bartenders rarely transition to adult jobs. I would suggest keeping in mind to respect people especially people whom you're not qualified to work for, definitely wouldn't recommend this place
Where's the OSU stuff? There's a reason their pizza is only $1/slice.

FUN ROCK BAR w/ MID-TIER FOOD... I decided to try the pizza at The Gaslamp's American Junkie as it's a heavily advertised item on the menu. It was fine...it probably wouldn't be at the top of my ordering list next time as it left much to be desired. American Junkie is more of a drinking spot to hang with friends and listen to punk, grunge, emo and pop rock hits. I really liked the aesthetic of this place!
Service was a bit rocky, the waitress I encountered was nice, but not very attentive. Also, the place seems heavily understaffed. I came at a time when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant and the food still came out somewhat late. Oh, and there was this guy who made me very uncomfortable, he had staring problems. I don't know if he was a busboy or what, this dude was rude!
American Junkie offers other American fare like chicken, burgers, and classic appetizers (mozzarella sticks, shrimp, nachos etc.). I spotted a few fun alcoholic drinks exclusive to SDCC. American Junkie is a large space with plenty of seating which includes booths, tables, outdoor seating, and a large bar with stools. I've heard people jump on top of the bar? Oh and there's a spin-the-wheel activity for late night party animals. If you're into that, it's here.
Overall, I'm not impressed, in fact I'm maybe a little underwhelmed.
