A solid food menu up and down. Right on flavor and and the portions are worth the PRICE! You won't be left unsatisfied. Excellent and friendly customer service! Comfortable for dinning in. I usually order ahead for take-out. Definetly try (or repeat) this spot for the closest to the islands as we have in SD.

I ordered delivery and the food was delicious! I just came back from Miami where I tried Cuban food for the first time and came back to San Diego determined to find Cuban cuisine. I had the arroz con gandules and some crispy pork dish. It did not disappoint! They gave healthy portions and Door Dash deliver very quickly as usual. Can’t wait to try more things on the menu.

I got the Bistec of the lunch menu. It was the best skirt steak I have ever had. The flavor was great and it was so juicy, not dry at all even a little bit. The grilled onions on top were delightful. The Cuban rice with olives and capers was amazing and new to me. Go check them out!

André! I don’t know André but his restaurant makes good Cuban food.FoodWe had the Ropa Vieja and the Picadillo. Both were plentiful and delicious. Both came with soupy black beans and rice. The picadillo came with plantains and they were good.Pickup experience seemed easy enough.Recommend?Yes

Best Cuban and Puerto Rican food I've ever had. I love pernil but the chicken dishes are some of the best I've ever had. Even wonderful for takeout 30 minutes after getting home. Now that's saying something.

I'm giving 4 stars because I did like the food, but the ropa vieja 100% tasted like Mexican-flavored shredded beef and there are a million Mexican restaurants around here so that was disappointing. And I've been to a ton of Cuban restaurants in other cities so I know what it's supposed to taste like. I put the leftovers in some tacos where it belonged. I also put some in venezuelan arepas but it tasted too Mexican-style for that too (their national dish is shredded beef). Also, the appetizer sampler was pretty good but the dipping sauce had bacon, eww! And one of our party was vegetarian which is why we added a cheese empanada to the platter and they didn't even tell us that's what it came with. It tasted weird, I thought it would be a regular "traditional" mojo type sauce. Wasn't for us. The replacement they brought was a tall dish of olive oil with garlic at the bottom that you couldn't reach with the food item so it was just oil. The sangria was good, so was the flan. The decor is kind of blah. I like the market next door, it's where I buy various hardish-to-find latin food items but this was the first time I've eaten there (for my birthday).
