Best Beyond Burger melt ever! Got an impossible melt with a Beyond Burger and was truly incredible. So juicy and flavorable with grilled onions and the works! Nachos pretty good, but missing something in my opinion. This spot is the epitome of dive bar, vegan junk food! No juice bar, fancy salads here. Looking for craft beer, dive bar vibe, this place is on point. We enjoyed stopping by and experiencing something new, and the burger was such a pleasant surprise!

Decent food, horrible service and attitude. Want to order pickup ? Go elsewhere.The staff was nonchalant and assumed we were delivery drivers which was fine if they weren't outright rude and didn't even acknowledge that we were there for a while. When trying to call out the attention of the chef/cook after standing in his line of sight for a while, he was just yelled as if we were disturbing him. Once they found out we were regular customers they tried to mollify a bit, but the point is you don't treat people this bad especially when you depend on them to run your business. 2 stars for decent food, but fries were soggy because again they take forever to give you your food.

Anthem is inside of a bar called Toronado. I ordered at the bar, paid, and sat down to wait. The woman who took my order asked me not to sit at the bar while I waited for my food to go. There were only two people at the bar and 10 open seats. There were tables there too, but I was afraid to sit for fear of the same reprimand. I just stood there feeling awkward. I did not feel welcome.

I wanna tell the whole world about this place. I would have posted a picture but I scarfed it. The staff is super friendly and approachable. We ate outside and had the whole patio to ourselves. It was great

I ordered the pollo asada tacos and the california burritto ... I must say the tacos were delicous , the texture of the "chicken" was actually pretty good very tender .... the california burritto "beef" was also very tender ... I feel as though it would be very much better if they added seasoning to the meat alternatives. The california burritto was a bit bland . Other than that my over all experience I was very surprised .. I would definitely order the tacos again .
What Google Maps failed to tell me was that Anthem Vegan is now served inside Toronado (they man the kitchen), so it was confusing to find at first but I'm so glad I did. Everything from the kitchen is vegan friendly and mind bogglingly delicious. Pictured are the AV burger and the California burrito. All burgers can be "upgraded" to an Impossible patty for a small up charge.

I tried the vegan Western Burger at this place and replaced the fattening french fries with veggies. It is absolutely delicious and involved no meat or animal products. I went to their Chula Vista branch, I am not sure why the review is appearing on the North Park location but Alex is a great guy at Chula Vista and very friendly, the food is good and good for you. Check them out.

Great vegan diner food. My wife and I got the insanity spuds and the pulled 'pork' sandwich. The jackfruit they use for pulled pork was well seasoned. The portions here are highly split able. I usually don't like very large portions, but in this case, the quality was not compromised. We were very satisfied and will come back to this vegan diner!

Always love a new vegan joint! This place surpassed my expectations. I got the jackfruit po boy and it was huge! I split it with my partner and we were both so stuffed at the end of the meal. Also ordered the insanity fries which we barely touched due to fullness but makes great leftovers! Only thing I would like to see is more plant based meats. They use a lot of vegan chicken and beef. Now a days, there are so many better options! Overall, I will for sure be coming back!

I came here specifically to try the Impossible Burger and Beyond Meat patties on the menu. Both were prepared in a meat-focused fashion, and both were pretty good. That being said, I would omit the vegan cheese next time. Nothing against the restaurant, but vegan cheese still has a long way to go. Definitely will stop by again!
