Applebee's in San Diego

“I recently paid my first visit to this Applebee’s since moving to San Diego, choosing it as the spot to celebrate my oldest child’s 18th birthday. I’ll admit, I’ve long held the impression that Applebee’s had lost some of its original charm — that balance of good food and fair prices that made it a neighborhood favorite years ago. But this location proved me wrong in the best way.

From the appetizers to the main courses, every dish was satisfying and well-prepared — flavorful, hot, and comforting in that familiar Applebee’s way. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Our server, Heidi, brought genuine warmth and humor to the table, creating a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere that made the evening feel special. She was attentive without hovering, friendly without forced cheer, and her sense of humor added the perfect personal touch.

In a time when chain restaurants can feel impersonal, Heidi reminded us that great service can make all the difference. A heartfelt thanks to her for turning a simple family dinner into a memorable celebration.“

“My second visit to Apple Bees and satisfied again.
We sat at the bar and was served by the greatest bartender on earth! He was also there on my first visit months ago, so I'm not telling lies here. Lol
I ordered the Grilled cheese Cheeseburger with tatter tots and tomato soup. Man!! The grilled cheese Cheeseburger was delish. It was juicy. The meat was cooked perfectly. The tomato soup was delicious as well. It felt like a warm hug. I have not had tater tots in a very long time and they did not disappoint.
My friend ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. He enjoyed it.
The atmosphere was great. Good vibes all around!!
I do recommend going and sit at the bar. You can't go wrong. It was also good to know that there are regulars that come through and the bartender knows their names. Lol“
