Applebee's Grill + Bar

Need to do better. I ordered through the app and waited for 30 minutes in the curbside past the time it said my meal was ready. I go inside and no one was over at the curbside section and had to talk with three different employees to finally get my food and everything was cold or warm. The two burgers and fries I ordered were cold and the salads were warm. I had to reheat everything. Only upside was the food taste was still good.

Service and atmosphere are good. I expected the food to be better (compared to other Applebee's).

French onion soup was fine and wife's fish and chips were good but the baby back ribs were tough and dry. I did not enjoy them. If you go to this location I'd recommend trying something else.

I tried the new espresso martini. It was watery and did not taste good. Stick to margs.

I recently paid my first visit to this Applebee’s since moving to San Diego, choosing it as the spot to celebrate my oldest child’s 18th birthday. I’ll admit, I’ve long held the impression that Applebee’s had lost some of its original charm — that balance of good food and fair prices that made it a neighborhood favorite years ago. But this location proved me wrong in the best way.

From the appetizers to the main courses, every dish was satisfying and well-prepared — flavorful, hot, and comforting in that familiar Applebee’s way. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. Our server, Heidi, brought genuine warmth and humor to the table, creating a relaxed, upbeat atmosphere that made the evening feel special. She was attentive without hovering, friendly without forced cheer, and her sense of humor added the perfect personal touch.

In a time when chain restaurants can feel impersonal, Heidi reminded us that great service can make all the difference. A heartfelt thanks to her for turning a simple family dinner into a memorable celebration.

Service was great and the staff are very friendly.

I came here a few times and can already say that i disliked Applebees for awhile few years until i tried it again for the first time in a long time. The food was excellent and I even had take-away. Their curbside and food pickup process was seamless and very quick / efficient!

Worst hamburger ever— you should be ashamed being an American restaurant serving these! Tastes like it was boiled instead of broiled — it was NOT even hot. Gross level is 5 stars!

Very small food portions of appetizers and sauces— it’s like they are scared to feed you for the cost of the food.

Drink was the best part of the meal. Never again!
