The food was good, but I had to wait a long time since the restaurant was crowded. I love the decoration of the food. The taste is a combination of Asian and Hispanic, very unique.

Food is very good, as it should be considering the prices, but service painfully slow! Bring a book!

Happy Hour at Artifact is the highlight of my week! I always look forward to those afternoons when I can wrap up an early day at work and walk over to unwind.

Kendra and Kelly are the best—they always greet me warmly and, knowing sparkling rosé is my go-to, pour a glass right after saying hello. The ambience is light and relaxing, and the conversation is consistently pleasant and entertaining—it’s the perfect way to transition from work mode to relaxation.

All of the food here is absolutely delicious, but the ahi crudo and beet salad are my favorites. They’re fresh, flavorful, and never disappoint.

Artifact has mastered the art of creating a welcoming, delicious, and enjoyable happy hour experience. Highly recommend!

Avocado bowl salad with pistachio dukkah was excellent. Very filling and no need for meat. Perfect light lunch.

2 of the six dishes were inedibly sweet and returned (crudo and carrots). Pierogi were okay. Beet salad was also sweet but edible. The meatballs & rock shrimp gyoza were delicious. Won't be back.

In general, everything we tried leaned sweet. We had to send both the yellowtail crudo and the carrots back because the sweetness was so overwhelming that the dishes tasted terrible. The crudo is the most bizarre dish I have ever tested. It's like a coconut key lime pie with raw fish and mango. We both had one bite and couldn't bring ourselves to try it again. The pickled onions offered some relief from the cloying sweetness but without any salt or spice, and with soooooo much sugar, this dish was a pass. The carrots were also cloyingly sweet with no salt or spice or acid. The garlic yogurt was lost in the sugar. The roasted beet salad was also really, really sweet but it was edible. The rye pierogi was okay but again, a weird sweetness. The Vietnamese pork meatballs, however, were really good, although we didn't get any spice. The flavor on these is delicious and the pickled veggies gave it a nice crunch. It comes in a lettuce wrap. We loved the rock shrimp gyoza and would eat these again. The location is lovely but the food was a big miss. We opted to go home and get slices of pizza instead of trying to order more food.

Delicious food, really nice wine, friendly waiter. We opted to sit outside, forgetting the proximity of Balboa Park to air traffic which is loud. However, we still enjoyed our meal.

Excellent food and service. The menu has something for everyone in each category. They have options for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and omnivores. The food is fresh and nicely seasoned. The decor is very nice both inside and outside. It's a hidden gem in Balboa Park.

We enjoyed the multi-course Turkish themed dinner last week. All the food was delicious and the service was excellent. We sat on the outdoor patio that has pleasant views of Balboa Park. Our overall dining experience was excellent.

The food at the The Artifact is excellent! It's very flavorful and tasty and they have something for everybody, including vegans. It's my favorite restaurant in Balboa Park.
