Casual but comfortable family run taco place, the flavors here excite, just enough salt, deliciously seasoned proteins and vegetables.

I had the Nopal and carne asada tacos and enjoyed them greatly. Indoor and sidewalk tables are available.

Wow, genuinely zero complaints! Phenomenal tacos, personal favorite is the Quesa Birria and it never disappoints (especially with the broth too). Atmosphere feels authentic and the food reflects it, service is great and friendly. Super short wait times too!

I do compare all my street tacos to El Gordo. Tacos Asadero tacos are delicious, they make them with plenty of meat and the flavor was very good, just wanted a little more char on the carne Asad and more spice. The adobado tacos are more on t he sweet side. They do have the best street tacos in the RB/Poway area, I will definitely be going back.

Probably the best birria taco I've ever had. And the broth, the Caldo de Birria!!! So savory and flavorful! I may drive here again from Oceanside, just to eat here. Ah-mazingly fresh and authentic. Staff were fabulous and fast.

Amazing tacos!!! The sauce they put on the pork taco is amazing. You can see it spinning on the little wheel and them slicing it off when you go there. The taste was superb!!!

Food tasted ok , salsa was not good but what made this an overall horrible experience was the next day. The food gave me diarrhea and gave my sister in law diarrhea. Not sure if the food was undercooked but not going back. Just a bad experience for us

Tacos Asadero is a hidden gem in Rancho Bernardo! Featuring traditional TJ-style tacos in a no frills taqueria. The tacos are legit and relatively inexpensive. I ordered one Asada and one Adobada and both were excellent. The tacos are pretty small but thoughtfully prepared. I really loved those freshly griddled corn tortillas.

The lady at the counter was somewhat surly and the ordering process is awkward. You’re separated from the cashier by a giant sheet of plexiglass with a speaker/mic system installed, kind of like visiting a bank in a bad neighborhood. We’re in RB, so it’s not a bad neighborhood, maybe a leftover from the ‘rona. Either way I recommend ditching it. At first it was hard to hear the lady so I put my ear close to the speaker at the same time she put her mouth much closer to her mic. She about blew me away! Goodness, my left ear is still ringing.

Anyway, after laying waste to two delicious tacos I felt like I needed to take a shower. After depositing my trash (outside) I headed to the restroom to wash my hands. Unfortunately it’s a one-holer and someone was in there signing the constitution with the door locked. After waiting a few minutes I wound up leaving. I look forward to visiting again soon but will bring my own wet wipes next time.

Tacos Asadero was recommended to us by a team of Mexican construction workers remodeling our house - and yup! - if you want excellent, authentic Mexican cuisine, Asadero is the place! El Ranchito in Poway has been our go-to for years, but we'll definitely be going back to Asadero. They've got some great offerings beyond the standard gringo fare that we're used to (carnitas, carne asada, etc.) Tried and loved their birria w/consomé, buche and adobada tacos.

My burrito was a bit light on guac and just ok overall. Expensive too at $20 but had a generous amount of meat in it. Service was great

In my opinion this is the closest you can get to a tacos el gordo type of taco in the area. It's not the same but some of the meats taste fairly similar and are very satisfying. It wasn't easy for me as someone who doesn't live in the area to find some good street style tacos. Prices are a bit steep but most tacos aren't as cheap anymore but the food is still worth it. 👍
