great food, fast service, always consistent. I love this place. The location is great, on the water in Americas Cup harbor. Can't beat the ambiance.

This is my favorite spot in all of San Diego. I am always sure to come here every time I'm in San Diego, and the seafood is always fresh and delicious, plus the servers are all knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to grab a bite and relax with a beautiful harbor view of downtown San Diego. I would recommend the lobster roll - pricey but 100% worth it. Grab a beer to go with and it is one of the most delicious meals you can get in San Diego!

Big fans of Point Loma here! Folks in the fam won't eat seafood anywhere else. Low frills, no real line to wait in - so just head up to an open counter when you decide what you want. Make sure you don't miss the specials board. There's something for everyone - lots of fried goods, between slices of bread or on a salad, some grilled, some raw. I think there's also chicken tender and burger options if you don't like seafood. Super affordable beer and wine options to enjoy on the patio. They are really friendly and efficient, churning folks thru.

There fried platters get all the attention, their great. But I love their chowder, salads and shrimp cocktail. They have a whole fish market where you order at the counter, so you can get fresh fish to go for dinner as well as lunch. They have a great draft selection and outdoor seating so you can bring your dog.

There's a few mix reviews in here. Parking: I'm not sure if it's like this all the time but there was someone to guide us where to park. If you're coming with someone make sure to just hop off first cause the lines can be long. Lines: Generally it's easy to spot the ever so growing line, but if there isn't one just walk up and ask if there's a line. Cause I have seen while waiting for my food, people standing around to order not realizing that there was two people in line and they thought it was random step up to the counter. It is not. Ordering: Generally it's easier if you know what you want already, they can get a bit impatient, but the guy helping me was quick and fast. And yes you pay with them too. I was confused about that. Pickup food: They give you a number make sure you get it if you don't know where it is on your receipt. Wait: While you wait head over to the brewery to find a seat and order a beer. You can always leave 15/20 minutes later to get your food and come back, with a seat. It gets hectic at Point Loma Seafoods so best to go elsewhere. Food: I believe we waited 30 minutes for our food, we came during heavy lunch time. But I felt like it was worth it, maybe it was because while drinking beer at the brewery it didn't feel like a wait at all. That could be it. Yummy fresh tasting crab and yummy fresh tasting fish. I will come here again to try some more. Yumm.

Loved this spot on my recent San Diego visit! I was able to order fresh swordfish and have it cooked, placed on tasty sourdough bread - with some fries on the side, and then take it as a 'to go' order. With the water so close to this spot, and a brewery snack serving up tasty suds, to-go was the right choice. There is a seating area to the left of the display cases (plenty of folks were enjoying their orders there). Parking was tight (60 minute limit) in the lot out front, but if you're willing to walk a bit, you should be able to locate street parking close by.

A must have when visiting in San Diego just beware of thieving seagulls...LOL. Great food cooked onsite and a market to take some home too.

Love this place. My Dad used to take us here as kids and into adulthood and today him and my mom took my husband, son and myself. I was craving oysters and this place always hits the spot with their fresh seafood. A must for when you want fresh, delicious seafood.

Old standard for good cheap fresh seafood in San Diego. They have everything you could want from salads to grilled to fried fish. I have been coming here for decades, they are always consistently good, always fresh, and service is fast and friendly.

My go to place for fresh fish. The view is beautiful and the air is amazing. Service is quick for to go orders or eating outside or in side.

Food is good but still a long wait from ordering to food on the table. We went after 2 pm on Friday so the parking and ordering do not have any problem.

We remained in the mood for seafood so we came here for a weekend brunch. Food was fine, but not as good compared to Mitch's seafood. We got a combo plate ($18.56) which included two shrimp, two fried pieces of fish, and one crab cake. -Fried fish: A bit dry inside. Batter was crispy though -Crab Cake: Crunchy exterior which i really enjoy. A bit small and the taste of crab was not as prominent as I had hoped. - Shrimp: Nice crunch. You can even eat the tail like it's a chip - French fries: Nothing particularly distinctive about these french fries - Fried clams plate ($13.92): Surprisingly, the batter was not crunchy and the clam pieces were very small (some of the pieces felt like it was just batter with no clam). I might be too judgmental though because this was not what I was expecting to eat. We had wanted to order the fried oysters to begin with, but they had already run out by 11:00 a.m. - Clam chowder: There were not as many clams as I had expected , and their chowder seemed much less hearty than their competitors. Oddly enough, instead of the flavor being clam- forward, it seemed like the strongest flavor was pepper or bell pepper - Additional: The coleslaw was nothing special. Like Mitch's, there was no creaminess or tartness to the slaw. Unlike Mitch's, they had dispensers for unlimited tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Both the sauces were so delicious, probably the best I've had at any seafood place. The cocktail sauce had a nice kick. I was eating primarily the sauce with a side of clam by the end of the meal. Parking: The parking lot was a combination of the most narrow parking spots combined with the worst parking jobs I've ever seen. However, the parking was free for an hour, which was enough time for us to order and eat. Service: I was initially confused by the ordering, but you walk right up to the employees at the raw seafood counters to place your order. They call your order number via a loud microphone. You can take your food to any of their indoor or outdoor tables to eat.

The parking is not the best but the product are worth the wait. I went in for Alaskan King Crab meat only. Beautiful selection! I requested for a pound & a half. I agreed with the price til one of their employees came by and smell the item on the scale. That completely turn my stomach. When I addressed him he smiled, laughed & walked away. I guess he action would change my mind on purchasing & it did. I come out limited times but I know if I want quality, know where to go. Not anymore. That incident completely turned me away. Trsin your employees on tact.

[Updating to add photos and edit text] I stopped by here recently thinking I'd found Mitch's only to realize, after ordering, that Mitch's was a separate venue a few steps down. #seniormoment Still, I got quite the seafood fix in the form of a crab sandwich. A modest serving of super fresh, crisp crab meat amid two slices of bread. Even though it was ultimately a petite sandwich, a large side of onion rings was more than enough to fill me up. And the fact that it was in sandwich format made it look somewhat larger than, say, a crab roll, although the ultimate amount of crab inside was probably the same. It's not just about sandwiches - of course you can also find seafood cocktails, fried platters, and even sushi and sashimi. This venue also doubles as a full seafood market, so it seemed popular not only with visitors but also locals when I stopped by. You order at the counter, pay at the register, and then wait for your name to be called. There's a modest amount of seating in their outdoor patio. A pleasant find here in Point Loma.

Fabulous seafood, moderate price, right off the water. We had oyster platter and two soft shell sandwiches. All were fresh and great
