Here’s a review you could consider:
“We had an amazing experience at Avant at the Rancho Bernardo Inn! The ambiance was perfect, and the food was incredible, but what really made our night unforgettable was the staff. Baely, our food runner, was attentive and so kind, making sure everything was just right. And Ariana, the bartender, crafted some of the best cocktails we’ve had. She was personable and knowledgeable, and it was clear she has a real passion for what she does. These two truly made our evening exceptional. Highly recommend Avant for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and outstanding service!”

Had a wonderful dinner, Parker house roll was the perfect way to start off our meal. We shared the seafood tower (prawns were my favorite), and salmon belly sashimi. The salmon belly sashimi was one of the best I have had. Our waiter, Blaine was excellent! He gave some excellent recommendations and was just a pleasure to be around. Looking forward to going back soon.
The food was fantastic, every dish was high quality and delicious. It was our anniversary and the team went out of their way to make our evening special. We will certainly be back!
The beef Wellington and “donuts & coffee” were both so delicious. Cocktail selection and wine list are also top notch. Service is excellent. Hadn't been here in over a decade and really glad we came back. Look forward to returning!
The food was good, but certainly not great. For the prices they charge, it should have been outstanding. We have had many restaurant meals that were at least as good for half the price that Avant charges. We dined there on a Friday evening at 6:00 PM and the place was nearly deserted. I do want to mention that our server was excellent, and the overall service was very good.
Parker house roll and gougères were on point. Wild blue bass was fresh flavorful simple but amazing. Service was exceptional attentive. I will definitely be back. Shoutout to the whole team at AVANT.
This is a terrific restaurant with extraordinary and creative food. Great menu choices, service and ambiance.

We had a delicious brunch at Avant this past Sunday. The food and service were excellent. We especially enjoyed the seafood - crab, shrimp, scallops and sushi (California Roll). Unfortunately, the desserts were not very good. It's rather pricey as well - but we had a Travel Zoo voucher which brought the cost down significantly. Without that - we would not have gone - since the full price with tax and the 20% automatic gratuity would amount to a cost of about $130 per person. Yikes!

It was my first time going to the buffet and although it was good it definitely wasn't great and most definitely wasn't worth $95 plus 20% gratuity. Most of the food was dry such as the country potatoes and the chicken fricassee, short rib etc. the crab claws were decent except for how much you spend you would think you would have better portions then what they give per plate is only two baby claws of course it's a buffet so you can keep going up. The best things were the lobster Mac which was dry but still decent the sausages, bacon and the egg hash. Over all for the money you can get better bang for your money in many places. I think they should have two options one with unlimited champagne for $80 to $85 and maybe no champagne for $50. Overall I wouldn't recommend the Sunday brunch buffet.
Lots of variety. Crab claws were great. Nothing extraordinary about food. If you are interested in cuisine, don't go. Personally thought required 20% gratuity for a buffet was out of line.
Fantastic food! Unfortunately we had 2 tables nearby who had taken the endless champagne offer a bit too literally and were a bit disruptive, but other than that, it was a lovely brunch!
All servers were so kind-explaining what each item was, offering helpful opinions. I had never heard of amuse bouche nor some of the other offerings. They were very attentive-checking to see how things were; refilling water; I have never had such an interesting and educational meal. Nicely done
A friend and I went for the first time to Brunch at Avant. Parking was tough, but after that-everything was AMAZING! We were greeted promptly, given a tour of the buffet while being taken to our table. The staff was soooo prompt and attentive. Sparkling wine was offered often. Food selection was really over the top and my friend and I were incredibly impressed. This is the first brunch I have been to in years, and I can't wait to go back. I immediately called another girlfriend when I left and recommended it to her. She and her husband are super 'brunchers'
