Love the authentic hole-in-the-wall ambiance--walk through a small market to get to the small restaurant in the back. Delicious veggie combo at least as good as the excellent Ethiopian food I used to get in Washington DC. Charming, friendly, helpful staff. Didn't know we had an Ethiopian community here, but there were several tables of Ethiopian families. And a screen with Ethiopian movies! Quite the immersive experience. My first visit; I plan to return after I find some recipes so I can buy ingredients in the market. Also! It's wonderfully quiet! Went with a long-lost friend, and we were able to have a quiet, detailed conversation.

The food here was what I expected. It was good choices meats that had a lot of seasoning. The rolls they give you to eat with tasted great, almost as if they were sourdough. The man who served us took great interest and even showed the table how to eat properly with the rolls. The restaurant had an Ethiopian coffee that was really good.

Ordered the Lentil Sambusa - perfectly flaky and crispy, best sambusas ever! Vegetable combo plate was delicious :) Staff is friendly and we felt at home!

Came here on a Sunday night with my boyfriend. This is a small restaurant located in the back of a market, and it's surprisingly super popular for how hidden it is! We came right before a rush and it started getting super busy. Food: We weren't extremely hungry so we decided to share a meat combo platter together! I think this would've made us feel content even if we came in hungry because of how much bread there is.. The meat combo was 4 savory meats on top of an injera (an Ethiopian bread with a sourdoughey taste). Next to the meats is a spicy paste and powder for you to spice it up. It came with 4 more injeras on the side for you to scoop up the meat. Overall really good! I wanted to try the veggie combo too, but it was too much for us to order. Would've liked being able to make my own combo, but unfortunately they only offer 2 preset combos (meat and veggie) and huge full size entrees. Service: There was just one guy manning the front and it was getting super busy... they honestly should've put at least another person out there. We didn't really get any service because of this, but I also noticed he was more attentive and especially nicer to tables with kids. Water was never filled, and he wasn't that friendly to us. Oh well.. LOL

Hidden gem for sure! The food is amazing, the service is great and the hospitality is warm and inviting. We had the beef, lamb and vegetable selections, all wonderful. Will be going back!

Damn!!! This place is super good and interesting to eat!! I wish I could give it a higher review but 4/7 of the people I came with got the mad runs after eating here... LOL. Anyways, aside from that I really enjoyed my experience here, just be aware that you might not feel good after but I still think it's super good and worth the bowel pains later. I think I would come back maybe 1 or 2 more times, if my friends are feeling adventurous and I have proper plumbing in my house. The front of this store can be sketchy looking at first. You have to walk through an Ethiopian grocery store to get to the seating area, so it's not the nicest ambience. I came with a party of 7 and we ordered 2 dishes of the meat and veggie combos. It was definitely enough food for our whole party and only came out to $13/person including tip so it's pretty cheap! The dish itself is served on a giant spongy tortilla like bread. You can choose a combination of meat or veggie like dishes that almost resemble curries or stewed meat/veggies. My friends and I got the combo of both the meats and veggies and I enjoyed the meat ones more. There were a lot of different options making it super fun to eat and try. The owner is really nice and helpful too. On a first glance you might not think that it's a lot of food, but it certainly is, and the bread is filling!

Great food and great service! The place is inside what seems to be a store. Tables are limited so come prepared to wait to be seated. I don't think they have A/C. Nonetheless, servers were very very attentive and hospitable. Food is amazing! If you haven't tried Ethiopian food yet, you definitely have to try. Food here is authentic. We ordered beef, lamb, and some veggies.

First time here, It was absolutely amazing. Please don't be deterred by the fact that it's in the back of a liquor store. You will not have a better experience of this type of cuisine anywhere else. Every plate is ten dollars and more than enough for two. I got the veggie plate and the meat plate. Next time, and there will be a lot of next times, I would like to try the tibs. I will be bringing friends next time as well. Get there around 5 or so, it's a very small dining room and starts filling up around 6/6:30. Also try the homemade honey wine. Hands down best Ethiopian food you'll ever try.

This place is consistently a great place to eat Ethiopian food. Everything tastes great. I usually order the meat and veggie sampler which is the right size for 2 or 3 people. It's clean. Service is quick. I come once a month. Give it a try!

Great food and great people. We order some lamb, foul, and honey wine and we were stuffed! I love the breads that were served with the meal and the spices in the meat. The restaurant is in the back of the liquor store and it is delicious.

The place itself is quite hidden and easy to miss but if you have been researching for a good Ethiopian place, you'll know this is the place to go. There's ample parking right in the front at least on Sunday evenings. The food was delicious the last time I was here, the injera was perfect consistency and taste! I had the vegan combination and boy was it amazing! The service was great too, we luckily were there at an off peak time last time and the owner of the restaurant showed us two great sauces (mit mit? And something else) that gave a kick to the curries in the vegetarian plate. I ordered the number 31 this time since it was my favorite among what I tasted before. It was busy and took a while to put in the order but once we did, they brought it out in 5 min. It is definitely satisfying and I'm sure I'll be a regular customer here going forward.

great, great food. I am addicted to that place. Nice, friendly people serving incredible food. I can't judge the authenticity, but if this is close, Ethiopia, here I come.

The vegetarian combo is BOMB. Shiro (spicy) and split pea are the best parts of it but all of it is great. Ask for extra spice powder on the side to dip in. Mexican coke. No ice.

The best Ethiopian restaurant I've had a meal at. Super delicious. A nice cozy restaurant with the nice Ethiopian feel. Very friendly staff tip worthy.

Super small hole in the wall at the back of a market! But so good! We orders the vegetarian and meat platters. It came out all together and with plenty of bread to eat it up. I highly recommend this place, isn't over priced either! It was a little hot in there though and they didn't come around often to ask if we needed more water.
