This is mostly a takeout place. Great food though! Definitely not the cheapest, but the quality is very, very good!

Delicious red curry, full of flavor! Would love to try more dishes next time I’m in San Diego.

This used to be a go to for me and my family, but since I no longer work nearby we don’t get takeout from here as much anymore. I finally did manage to swing by last Friday, and had ordered 2 pad Thai’s, a tom Kha gai, and their green papaya salad. The green papaya salad was spoiled and I spent the evening miserable with gi issues, and I have a pretty strong stomach. I know it was the salad because I ate a very basic breakfast that day and skipped lunch and the salad was all I had eaten before symptoms started. I’m just glad no one else in my family ate it. So maybe stick with the cooked items on the menu from now on.

This is a fun local Thai place. But when you order just be be sure you’re getting what you want. I usually get the curries and papaya salad and those are good but this time I ordered the lemongrass chicken – – I didn’t really like this dish because it was devoid of vegetables so just beware of that if you try to order this.

Have been coming here for years and I have tried other Thai places but nothing compares to Bahn Thai. I get the tom yum with shrimp and I swear it cleanses my soul. Its soooo good every single time.

The best Thai food in San Diego. Every time they have their special Fish Curry I make sure to get it. I love their pad see ew, pineapple fired rice, drunken noodles and pad Thai are so so good. Also their Thai tea! I

Saw this had a ton of great reviews and heard about this place in the past so we chose to order it on Doordash. We ordered a ton of food: Pad Thai (Rice Noodles, Bean Sprouts, Scallions, Red Onions, Peanuts), Pad See Ew (Broad Rice Noodles, Chinese Broccoli, American Broccoli with Soy Sauce), Yellow Curry (Potatoes, Onions, Bell Peppers, Carrots with Coconut Milk), Roasted Duck Curry (Roasted Duck, Tomatoes, Sweet Peppers, Pineapples, Basil Leaves, Red Curry Paste in Coconut Milk) and Black Rice Pudding (Black Jasmine Rice Drizzled with Coconut Milk) for dinner. EVERYTHING WAS REALLY GOOD! You cannot go wrong at this place. I do have to say the Pad Thai was a bit sugary but it was for the better.

Had a great experience at Bahn Thai! We ordered the green curry, yellow curry, crab fried rice, and veg spring rolls—everything tasted amazing. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the food came out super fast, within about 10 minutes. Definitely a place I’d recommend and visit again.

This is a dinner that we bought for to go “pad thai”and I can’t even eat because it’s full of chili seeds. So disappointed l will never recommend this type of food, who do you think wants a dinner of a thousand seeds mixed with noodles which is not written on the menu. And the firecracker chicken we got has also a very long hair, so nasty.🙁

We had Drunken Noodles which were good but lacked seasoning, Massaman Curry, very tasty if a little sweet to my taste and Spring Rolls, were pleasantly crunchy and well prepared.
Friendly service and good portions, will definitely go back.

I am not a currently chef, but I am culinarily trained, and I have lived in San Diego for six years eating from this restaurant. I have noticed a gradual and then steep increase in the amount of sugar or sweetening adjacent ingredient used to prepare the Pad Thai to the point where I can’t personally enjoy it anymore. If you’re watching sugar intake or looking for more savory flavors, this popular dish probably won’t cut it for you. Otherwise, I’d give 5 stars. My favorite Bahn Thai dish is still the Massaman curry. It is outrageously perfect. I would still really recommend that the culinary team cut back on whatever is making the Pad Thai so sweet, since it’s easily perceptible that it’s gotten more and more sweet as the years have gone on.
