Had a trebel hook lodged in my hand for over 3 hours, waiting for them to see if I had tricare before they took care of me. Mind you, I had nothing numbed, not a single bit of help from them until they saw I was covered for medical care; I'm active duty military going on now for 11 years.Mind you, my father was with me & is on a breathing machine. It was 2am. After reminding them this and that I needed to get this taken care of so I could take my father home, I waited another hour, and still nothing.After pressing the concern a few time, and noticing them laughing and joking around outside of my room, I ended up leaving and went to an urgent care instead where I was taken care of in less than 20 minutes; that time included the line I was in. All bills were covered under tricare.& to think commands press their Sailors about going to outside medical facilities. I fully support taking care of your health another way if you can't get the help you need in a timely manner.100% unacceptable. Do better.

my husband had a back issue that would make him for over 5 years hurt tremendously. Dr/ Lcdr Lawless did a laminectomy, a minimal invasive procedure surgery. After 2 weeks my husband started noticing 50% reduction on back pain, and after 1 month he has made 80% recovery and pain is minimal now. Dr./Lcdr Lawless patiently answered all of our 100 questions and was very thorough Thank you Dr. Lawless for blessing us with such carefully scheduled laminectomy. Lot of construction going on, but the open air compound is nice and fragrant with plants aplenty. Food options I've noticed are Wetzels Pretzels, subway, mini Starbucks. ATMs on site.

The cafeteria is awful and very limited on food they have Subway and a McDonald's and a Starbucks that you can eat from which is much better. It is a hospital it is a very big place and requires a lot of walking. Bathrooms are hard to find. The staff is wonderful And very helpful.

If you need to schedule a CT scan or an ultrasound, don't wait a month after the order has been put in and then expect to be seen in a week once you finally call to schedule an appointment.
