Very impressive Banh Mi sandwich here at Bale French Sandwiches! Their price is unbeatable, all the Banh mi are under $6.5, and their size aren’t too small. It’s like a 6 inch sandwich, perfect for one person. The sandwich has a lot of stuff inside, it’s filled with veggies and meat. I ordered a BBQ pork and a beef Banh mi, both are awesome. I highly recommend this place, plus their service is so friendly!

Not sure if this place changed hands, but my most recent go-to sandwich tasted really different than it had for the past 10 years I've been coming here.I usually get the #5 BBQ Pork sandwich. The meat was flavorless and the mayo tasted like miracle whip. There used to be lemongrass marinated on the meat but it was absent this time. The positive was the bread is still the same along with the do chua. The service was good so I think I may come back some time down the road to give them another shot.

The tofu veggie banh mi is ridiculously delicious!! The bread is toasted to a crispy perfection. The tofu is shredded and veggies are fresh and vibrant. You will not find another tofu bahn mi like theirs anywhere. Get you one.

I’ve been coming to this place for years and although the prices went up (like everywhere), the food is consistent. The bread they use is a French hoagie by Le Chef, a local bakery that I used in my restaurants. It’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside so I don’t recommend eating this in the car or if you have sensitive gums. The number five and number nine are my favorites. I’d like to branch out and try more but I just can’t seem to stay away from their pork. Also, they don’t cut the sandwich in half so you might want to ask them to for an easier eating experience. When other shops are charging $11 per sandwich you can get a delicious bahn mi here for only $6.25, the coffee is cheap and strong too. I got the bbq pork and smashed it so fast I was tempted to come back for another immediately. Will be back.

When I went there, the auntie was very nice and friendly. I ordered the number 1 special and the coffee boba. She made sure everything was done quickly and correctly. The bread was fresh and crispy. I love this place and highly recommend it

I've ordered their vietnamese egg rolls party tray twice and it's always been perfect. Doesn't have the dip included (pay extra to get) but the egg rolls are so good you don't need it. I've also ordered and loved their jackfruit smoothie. Just the right amount of sweet and perfect texture.Everyone in the store is super friendly. Easy to order food through phone too. They have a lunch set with their bahn mi and eggrolls and that seems like a great deal too.

Best banh mi I've had in San Diego but I'll skip the banh bao, fried rice, and nem nuong cuon rolls next time - not my favorite. The number #1 sandwich has the perfect ratios and they don't skimp on fillings or toppings. Big fan of the egg rolls, banh gio and pate chaud.
