The male bartender working 9/20 at 1 pm was extraordinarily rude to customers. I ordered a glass of wine with my travel partner. She sat, there were not enough stools so I stood beside her. We ordered and paid a very friendly and sweet female bartender. After I had received my wine and after I had paid ant tipped, the male bartender came up and started berating me for standing where I was. I was told I needed to move for “the mobile orders.” I asked him where to go and he said “anywhere else.” His tone was extremely hostile and rude to the point that other patrons told me that they were appalled by his behavior and wouldn’t be tipping.

I then stood behind my travel partner instead of at the bar. During the 20 minutes we had our wine, not a single “mobile order” appeared. He was hostile and rude for no reason. San Diego airport is dated and has very limited options, so I do not believe this will have an affect on their business, but it makes me question if I’ll ever fly through SD again.

I ordered two expresso martinis for my brother and I, and they were the worst I have ever experienced. Expresso martinis are delightful when done right.
This was a bitter lifeless disaster that I begrudgingly forced myself to drink. These bar tenders need to learn how to make a proper one. There is no excuse for what the made. Horrible!!!

Only bar at these gates in a very crowded gate area. Most of the time I skip this place when waiting as you can never get a seat. However, it wasn’t too bad for an early morning flight. The Breakfast tacos were surprisingly good as were the Bloody Mary’s.

Delicious carnitas nachos. Good size, big enough to last the long flight from SD to FL. I buy food from here everyone I fly out of SD.

Good place for a quick flight before a flight. A little expensive but it's on par for air port prices.

We are in our 60’s and both my
husband and I agree the two bartenders here today (5/10/25) at 4:50pm are the nicest bartenders we have ever encountered at an airport ever. The food was fantastic, service was amazing and friendly, and the place was busy but clean. Not one thing bad to say. Five starts would be more if I had an option.

Not bad for one of the only spots to grab a drink near my gate. Had lots of people on a busy Sunday night but there was a GSW playoff game happening drawing a crowd. Decent beer selection, food is limited but their options cover the bases. I got some chicken tacos and the crispy cheese was on point.

Had a 5 hour wait for a flight, cut off after 4 beers. Expensive, poor service, and no buzz.

We got a cinnamon roll, three yogurt parfaits, and chocolate chip cookie. Th yogurt parfaits was great. The cinnamon roll was not really a cinnamon roll and it was dry. The chocolate chip cookie was great awesome even I mean unless you’re allergic then who can turn down a chocolate chip cookie.

You don't usually expect too much from airport food, beyond a hefty price tag. I was very pleasantly surprised by the fare at Bankers Hill, where I got the carnitas nachos. The guac was fresh, with ripe and fatty avocado and tart lemon, fresh and flavorful tomatoes, well made crema, perfectly melted cheese, marinated and delightfully fall-off-the-bone cooked meat, perfectly crunchy and seasoned chips. Easily one of the best nachos I've had. The folks with me picked up orders of truffle fries, and if the smell predicts the taste and I would suspect they were equally delectable.

the truffle egg breakfast sandwich is BOMB. this is REAL food, not your typical airport food… order a side of chipotle aioli for the potatoes. service was also 5 stars, very attentive and quick despite how busy they were.
